First to clarify, this place is now known as Casa Linda. I stayed here for 10 nights and really enjoyed my stay. It's set up differently than a hotel/hostel as it's actually a Spanish school and for the most part the staff are there only during the day. At times I felt like I was then only one around! Some of the rooms are around an inner courtyard/greenspace which was quite peaceful. My room was cozy and very clean. Staff were so great..all of them super friendly and helpful. They even put a little fridge in for me which is great when you're there for awhile. The location was perfect, close to the market, Parque Central, Bodegona (supermarket) etc. And the price was good for Antigua and for what you get. The only downsides..a really small bathroom and tiny shower (hard to shave the ol'legs!) and paper thin walls (you can hear a yawn next door..it's actually kind of unbelievable) but, it was still worth it and I...

The owner has his daughter trick clients into showing a room which is some what clean and reasonable priced.
Once you go check in he will do the old switch a roo. You will be led to a dimly lit room with bed sheets that I wouldn't even let my dog sleep on. And a toilet with no toilet seat.
I told the owner his daughter showed us room that had a toilet seat and was clean. He proceeded to say that all rooms are like this one.
So i got irritated and walked over to open the room that the poor little daughter showed us. Then showed him .
He then gave me an excuse not too give my money back . I was gonna rip his ears off. I got my money and left.
I really do feel bad for the daughter who has a slime ball as a father that tells her to trick to people to lure them in. She is usually hand washing bed sheets in the back . Sadly.
