Baraka Atitlán - Beach & Lakefront Apartment Rentals — Hotel in Sololá

I had the pleasure to stay at Greg’s place for a 8 days. I couldn’t ask for anything better. It’s all I was wishing for and more! I was received with flowers and delicious local fruits in the table. It’s such a lovely apartment beautiful decorated with lovely details , the lighting it’s so romantic at night , bright and shiny day time. The kitchen it’s full equipped with a water filter.The bathroom it’s beautiful! The a outdoor space it’s gorgeous with direct view at the lake and flowers hanging from the ceiling. I had the most special dinners and breakfast seating there with the sounds of the waves in the lake as background. Honestly it felt like a dream every day.

Going down the steps in the property it’s a beautiful private beach area with a private dock. The water it’s crystal clear perfect to hangout and swim. With the view and majestic energy of the volcanos right in front of you. The whole property it’s so beautiful and well maintained you can feel the love and caring that Greg has put into it. There were workers around the property doing gardening some days. Available to help out any time for anything I needed in the apartment. There where also two lovely lady’s available that helped me with my laundry for low price. I’m so happy and grateful that I found this gorgeous apartment. Greg it’s such a lovely person , welcoming , helpful and attentive to anything I needed. Great fast communication. Cute place! It is not a hotel but it does the job. This is more like an Airbnb at the moment. The manager JB was very helpful and responsive via what's app. All check in instructions were given to us by email a few days in advance. You can also swim by the dock and the water is very clean. However, we spent most our time swimming by the Rocks at the beautiful park of Tzankujil which is nice 15 minute walk from Baraka. That natural park is by far one of the best places to swim in Lake atitlan and is where you want to spend most of your sunny days!

This place also has hot water and filtered drinking water and a fully equipped kitchen. To walk to the center of the village is about 8 minutes by foot.

We also recommend you check out the restaurant/ bar of the "Hostel del lago" which is 6 minutes by foot from Baraka and its the first hotel that you see when you arrive to San Juan. It was by far some of the best food we ate in San Juan and their terrasse is gorgeous.

The cats were also adorable! We also appreciated the lights that light up the terrasse and make it look magical.

This house is SO beautiful! The view is stunning. It's so well outfitted, and comforatable. Stepping into the house I immediately felt at ease and able to relax. I love the indoor outdoor vibe, the big windows, and all the great light that comes in. Also, it's an ideal location. You're not too far from town, but far enough so that it's not super loud like some of the more central locations. I love San Marcos too! I'm so glad I picked this town to stay in. There are so many great offerings throughout the week, yoga classes, concerts, classes, and other great events to choose from.
