We stayed in the hotel for one night while visiting the area. The hotel is very close to Keleti train station, only 2 stops on the bus routes 5 and 7, the nearest bus stop to the hotel is the 'Czazar Andras utca', The hotel is nice, and clean, as you walk in the first door on the left is the entrance to the gym & spa area, a bit further on the left is reception, and the far left are the ground floor toilets. To your right, as you walk in, are the 2 lifts, then the lobby dining and breakfast area and the bar. If you go straight ahead you will find the terrasse. We had soup options for dinner when we got there late, which were both nice,I forgot to take a photo, i'll upload menu photos. We also had breakfast in the morning, which was a great choice, as there are a lot of options, including all the alternative milks (even coconut which is hard to find!), kefir nuts and granola. hot and cold breakfast items (recommending the sausages and roast pork belly bacon) and lots of bakery choices (recommend the sourdough sliced and the brioche. A juice bar that includes grapefruit and pineapple juice (love!), and coffee machine that makes an excellent espresso (according to Mum, she liked it so much she had 2). Highly recommend getting breakfast before you leave! The rooms were nice and well equipped. The spa opens at 7am, it was quite on a wednesday morning so I had the whole spa for myself, but the big pool felt a bit cold and the sauna wasnt on (you have to request for them to switch it on for you, but I didn't have the time to wait for it to heat up). The big jacuzzi is very nice. We enjoyed our stay, the hotel was nice, food was tasty and well prepared and the staff were very friendly and attentive.

Horrifying experience! Here is the story: I show up to Budapest 11:00 Pm and take a taxi to the hotel. When I arrive the doors to the hotel is locked and all the lights are off. We knocked on the door, called the hotel nothing happening(I thought the hotel is out of business or something like that ). Finally after a solid 1/2 hr someone came to the door. He apologized and told us that it’s a bad neighborhood so they lock the doors at night. (We where not too thrilled to hearing that as we were waiting outside for a half an hour with all our belongings in middle of the night ). This is only the beginning! The guy checked us in and gave us the key card. We went upstairs to our room put in the card in the door. We open the door and turn on the lights And a guy jumps out of bed! Screaming in some language I don’t understand! I ran downstairs to the front desk. I told him there is a guy in my room! He tells me “No it can’t be” I was ready to just leave and go to a different hotel. He offered me a different room since it was 1 in the morning after a long flight we just took the room. As a review on the room my mattresses where basically on the floor my refrigerator didn’t work. And if u use the shower the bathroom floods. When I told them my refrigerator is broken he gave me a bowl of ice 🤣 What a crazy experience I will never go back here!

We had a really nice stay at Lion’s Garden Hotel! It’s not right in the city center, but that actually made it more peaceful and relaxing—plus it’s close to public transportation so getting around was super easy. It’s also near a big city park, which was perfect for the kids to run around and play. We booked a connecting room, which worked great for our family and the price was quite reasonable for what we got. One of the best things about the hotel is definitely the wellness area. The sauna and the jacuzzi-style pool were perfect after a day of sightseeing—such a bonus! The hotel restaurant was also a pleasant surprise. The food was tasty and the service was friendly. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay—great value, calm atmosphere, and everything we needed for a family trip. Would definitely recommend it if you’re visiting Budapest and don’t mind being a little outside the hustle and bustle.

Bad and terrible experience! We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by a guy at the reception who was antipathetic and not helpful. I clearly stated and even confirmed before ordering that we do not want a sofa bed. The hotel confirmed that it does not have a sofa, we booked the room. When we arrived we were surprised to find out that the requested bed was a pull-out sofa bed. After we went to the reception, we received horrible treatment from the receptionist who did not agree to help us in any way and only said "I am not responsible, and I have no way to help you". In addition, he did not agree to connect us to the person in charge or the manager. We got a room where the shower didn't work, as did the electrical outlets. After mentioning it again, they changed our room to a lower room. We didn't get bathrobes and they didn't wash our towels every day (even though they say they do) Of course, even after we asked for compensation - we did not receive it. No money and no benefits. The pool is frozen and small, and the hot tub was cold. The sauna on the other hand was good. At breakfast we were seated in an unheated side room - and when we asked for eggs we were told that they were "too busy to serve us" I asked in advance for something for my parents' 30th wedding anniversary celebrations and we didn't get it - after two more requests on different days from different people, they brought them a bottle of champagne for which they were asked to pay, even though I inquired in advance and they didn't mention that it was an additional charge. There is no 24/7 receptionist as indicated on the website. They ask for an additional payment for every detail, such as bottles of water (which we did not receive in the rooms) In conclusion, a bad experience. Lack of courtesy and service, poor value...
