Like Vík Guesthouse — Hotel in Iceland

Host let me use her bathroom instead of sharing the regular one with a family. Her breakfast, Iceland style, was lovely, but the twin beds are very narrow and the head is under a sloping ceiling, so beware of bumping your head! When the young couple arrived in their joyousness, their voices carried way too loudly. Due in part to the very thin paper walls. What set me off later was that the host validated that they demand high prices for the tourist season, make tons of Money, and then can afford to vacation the rest of the year in Spain! She demanded payment in cash. For a very small room, teeny twin beds, she charged 170 euro. That’s shared bathroom, going up and down stairs for the bathroom and carrying bags. You can bet I’d never stay...

Wonderful 3night stay in mid July. At first we were hesitant since we had never stayed at a guesthouse before but our concerns were quickly eased but the owner/host Hrönn and her husband. The guest rooms are extremely comfortable and the hospitality of Hrönn is unparalleled in today’s day and age. We stay in the four bed bedroom with our 18yr old daughter and 16yr old son and our 3night stay one of our highlights while using the location as a home base to visit multiple locations along the south/southeast region of Icleand. We would not hesitate to rebook with Hrönn in the future. The location is very quiet with wonderful views of the Vik Bay and there is a wonderful restaurant 100feet away at the corner...

I couldn't recommend more this place! Hronn is a marvellous host, always ready to give you information about Iceland, Vik, the weather, the best restaurant or the best supermarket...and always with a warm smile!|In the moment my husband and I entered her house we immediately felt at home. We spent there 3 nights and I nearly didn't want to leave anymore. The guesthouse is lovely and spotless! Never seen a guesthouse so clean. Let's talk about the breakfast...Oh gosh! Eggs, tomato, cucumber, juices, yogurts, cereals, coffee, teas, salami, cheese, jams, different kind of breads....amazing! And her homemade dark bread is to die for!|Thank you so much Hronn to make our stay...
