Delicious crepes street food on the side of the road that are reasonably well filled but are quite pricey - for crepes.
The trailer shack is authentic and of traditional Icelandic style that blends in with the surrounding architecture and landscape.
The service is very friendly and welcoming, and food takes around 5-8 minutes. There is plenty of fairly level free parking upon loose gravel. And the views whilst you wait, or decide to stay and eat, are absolutely stunning.
The menu is limited but not fussy, sticking with what works best for them, and the crepes these guys make are very tasty and well filled. The crepes are reasonably expensive, for crepes, and as street food in general. Probably the most expensive crepes we’ve ever had at 3,900 ISK (£22.66) for two. This said, good street food in general these days where ever you go is around £10.00 each. We shared the mozzarella, tomato and pesto and the Nutella and banana Prince Polo - banging!
Despite the price for a crepe, we would still give this joint a 5-stars, because of the warm friendly service, the quality and presentation of the food, and the scenery is stunning.
If you are travelling around Iceland on the ring road, then this little establishment is well worth stopping off at. We would definitely stop here again on our way through.

More in the mood for breakfast or lunch? The ham and cheese crepe is perfect.
We didn't try the "pizza type" crepe, but if the other two are any indication, it will be fantastic too!
Mikel was great and makes them right in front of you. He spreads the batter, adds your choice of fillings, folds it into a handy triangular paper sleeve, and you get to indulge right there on the picnic table over charming Vik contemplating your walk along Vik's hidden little black sand beach.
Ask Mikel anything. He's friendly, knowledgeable (about anything Iceland, Vik, or Europe in general really) and engaging on many topics.
You might pass his wonderfully cute little stand a few times, but just save yourself some time and stop in right away. You'll likely make a few more trips there...
Read morePricey for what it is. The crepes were very standard and didn’t really seem worth their price at $15 USD or 2.000 ISK. We had the ham and cheese and nutella crepes. The flour was good but the ingredients inside were simple. I guess I can’t expect much from a crepe. I think my review would be more positive if they were cheaper or if they had a bit more creativity. Back at home, I usually see crepes at this price made/decorated with whip cream, sugar, matcha powder, strawberry, durian, creme brulee, etc. You get the point.
On a brighter note, the lady there was very friendly and happy to serve us. She also made the crepes...
