Grand Mercure Review
My "Home" in Bangalore!
As always, the Grand Mercure Bangalore meets and exceeds all my expectations! I was introduced to a new perk on this trip, the Accor Plus membership that rewards frequent visitors like me with sizeable discounts on meals, drinks, and a free night's stay. I am able to invite friends for the scrumptious breakfast and dinner buffets at a fraction of the original cost. The credit goes to the front office manager Mohnish Lall who is always attentive to the needs of guests, and on the lookout for creative solutions.
The variety and presentation of mouth-watering gourmet food in the restaurant covers a range from authentic regional Indian food to Asian cooking to Continental cuisine. The bar offers a wide range of local and internationally acclaimed brands of wines, beers, and whiskeys! The restaurant staff anticipate the needs of repeat guests and set up my table just the way I like it within minutes!
My room attendant Sudipto was so meticulous about replacing anything that may be running low .... from toothpaste to face tissue to coffee to water.
The reception desk staff attended to my every request with courtesy, efficiency, and a smile.
The eagerness with which the doormen help you out of your car, carrying your packages and escorting you with an umbrella when it rains is remarkable.
All this is done under the careful (and often unseen) supervision of the man in charge, Mr. Anuj Chaudhry. Thank you all!
I have been staying at the Grand Mercure twice a year on average for the past decade. There is always something new and improved! This time it was the brand new carpeting whose contemporary design is just another reflection of the upscale amenities at the hotel.
I have already booked my next stay in October and look forward to meeting all my...
Read moreRecently had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Mercure Hotel in Koramangala, Bengaluru, and my experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment of arrival, the resident on-boarding process was seamless, ensuring a warm and welcoming start to my stay.
The hotel's WiFi connectivity was superb, providing uninterrupted and high-speed internet access, which is crucial for both work and leisure. The sumptuous buffet offered a delightful array of dishes catering to diverse tastes, and the dinner choices were equally impressive, making each meal a gastronomic delight.
One of the standout features of the accommodations was the small kitchen available in each room. This thoughtful addition allowed for quick and convenient preparation of drinks, enhancing the overall comfort of the stay. I was particularly impressed by the hotel's innovative use of glass bottles for drinking water. This environmentally conscious approach is commendable, and I appreciate their efforts towards sustainability. I look forward to seeing more such initiatives in the future.
The well-equipped gym was another highlight, providing a comprehensive range of equipment to meet all fitness needs, with security measures in place to ensure a safe environment for all guests. The proximity of the hotel to a beautiful park and a serene temple offered the perfect opportunity for morning walks and peaceful moments with my guest, adding to the charm of the location.
In summary, the Grand Mercure Hotel in Koramangala, Bengaluru, exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Their attention to detail, commitment to sustainability, and outstanding facilities make it a top choice for anyone visiting the area. I highly recommend this hotel for an...

My mother and I wanted to get away from the festival noise and pollution, and chose Grand Mercure, Koramangala for a weekend stay.
We chose the one-bedroom suite, which was beautiful, with a tree canopy view that I can't express enough gratitude for. It was cool, breezy; a modern studio-style room with a kitchenette and a lovely bathroom.
The in-room service is excellent and available 24/7. The food was great, especially the Indian fare, with hearty portions. The maintenance staff is superlative, available on call through the day, and very efficient. We had a slight trouble with the microwave and it was promptly replaced.
This is a smart, thoughtfully-designed property. I would consider a work trip here just as easily as a vacation. I loved the details, from the ample plug points, dimming lights, the generous coffee/tea section, to the beautiful photo frames everywhere.
We got a bunch of tasty freebies from the staff as it was Diwali. The suite itself felt like home, and really, we wished we could have stayed longer.
Above all else, it's the staff that makes this property special. Everyone is courteous and welcoming, and polite without a fault. The breakfast buffet had a lovely fare every day, ranging from the light to the very heavy, like chicken curry and fried rice. I loved the breads and the desserts, my usual go-tos!
Special shout out to Shaheen from the buffet staff at The Verandah. Perfect professional and very courteous. Shreeya on the front desk was another true professional who stood out with her warmth and smooth work of booking us in and making sure we were taken care of well.
Will happily revisit...
