Terra Bites is not amongst the most visited cafes in Koramangala but is definitely a hidden gem. It is a small cafe with just the right vibe and great food. We tried the following:
CHICKEN CANAPES (5/5): This french starter is the perfect gateway for a new diner to try the food at Terra Bites. The portion size was good and the toppings on the cracker were going really well with each other.
MUSTARD FISH (5/5): No complaints here as well. Prepared to perfection. The basa fish tasted amazing with the mustard sauce and the rice and veggies provided the right texture to complete the dish.
VEG MOMOS BOWL (5/5): A must-try. The veg broth was so rich in taste that it was extremely difficult to stop myself from slurping the entire bowl in one go. The oriental veggies along with the veg momos in the broth were the icing on the cake. I could notice that almost every table in the cafe had at least 1 asian bowl ordered. So I'd say definitely give their bowls a try. They have a good collection of the same.
The staff was courteous but the only complaint would be their negligience. We had explicitly told them in the beginning that none of our ordered dishes should have had mushrooms but the toasted veggies in the mustard fish dish had mushrooms as well. May be they can work on communicating specific instructions...
Read moreCafe Terra is a quaint little place hidden in plain sight. It is one of those places that makes you feel happy on the outside as well as the inside.
It's the kind of place you want to keep going back to and a great place to have a meal by yourself. You can look at passers-by below as you enjoy your meal or even be surrounded by comics. They even have board games to curb your boredom while waiting for your meal.
I normally have their ham basket(comes with 4 pieces of toast,2 hash browns, butter, mashed potatoes, ham slices, mushroom and a sunny side up), a plate of bacon and some peach ice tea which makes for a hearty brunch. They do have a lot more on their menu like pancakes, pasta, steak, English breakfast etc etc which are all very good as well.
Their staff is very helpful and in general very pleasant and nice so that makes the ambience even more positive and relaxed. They also play some really good tracks which is an added bonus.
I personally love this place and keep going back. I would highly recommend to atleast check out the place.
PS.It is on the first floor of the building right next to Kamal Bakery so parking is a little hard but manageable. So if you can walk there I would suggest doing so or going by bike/scooter(parking is more...
Read moreSunday afternoon lunch review: I liked the overall soothing ambience of the place. You have a mix of everything but not too much of anything. Be it the music, the noise of chatter, the server waiting on you, or the crowd. Walked it to an almost full house at ~2:30 p.m; but by 4:30 pm we were free to choose our preferred seats. :) We came in looking for a place to work along with lunch and evening snack and we got it. We were there till 7 pm. Wifi was good. The employees seemed comfortable with and considerate of people who show up to work from there; patiently waited for us to comfortably make the first move whenever we had to order something and did not wait on us the whole time. However they also kept refilling our water subtly all throughout. This review is a thank you for all these small gestures that get missed. :))
Also, the mustard fish was good! We did not like the veg manchurian bowl much though; did not expect it to be soupy. It would be great if you can warn cutomers about the soupy nature when they place the order. The masala chai was good too! Asked them to go easy on the masala, and we were not...
