By The Blue — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Visited this place for our wedding anniversary date night. My wife had pre-booked a package and it included 2 starters, 2 main-course dishes and 2 desserts (anything except sea-food could be ordered). The setting was just fantastic with decorations and lighting on the table. It was by the poolside with feeble sounds of a water fountain adding to the ambience.

For starters, we ordered Tandoori Murgh Tikka and Achari Tangri, The murgh tikka was well cooked and tasted nice, while the achari tangri was just fantastic and tasted awesome!

For our main course, we ordered Nalli Nihari and butter chicken. Nalli nihari is basically lamb shanks cooked in Indian masala. It tasted nice and was well cooked. Butter chicken was as expected with it's creamy taste, no complaints as such. For our breads we ordered garlic/butter naan, they were quite soft and upto the mark.

As part of our dessert, we ordered rasmalai and kulfi and they were the best items we had of all. Absolutely fantastic. They also provided us with a complimentary cake as part of our anniversary celebrations. Service was top-notch and they took extremely good care of us. Went to "By the Blue" at Geand Mercure for a Sunday Brunch. Though it was crowded at the time we reached but the entire setup of buffet was effectively managed.

Loved the pleasant vibes while entering. Once we were seated, we were greeted by staff who warmly welcomed and helped us to make the day as a special one. Staff was courteous and prompt.

I tried mocktails, chaats, pastries, rice, noodles, curries, cakes, breads, salads, fruits, curd rice, desserts etc. With its upbeat poolside ambience and mostly efficient service, this restaurant is a nice choice if you’re looking for a good buffet.

Good variety of cuisines for brunch ranging from Indian to Continental. There were several options for all kinds of menu. Starters, main course, live counters, chats, desserts etc. Decent taste of food whatever we tried. Pool amenities are also included in the brunch....such a steal deal, right !!

Overall, the experience was a joyride for the taste buds...."By The Blue" is a much needed indulgence, head over for a luxurious experience in food and drinks wrapped around superb service. I would definitely want to come again for this rollercoaster...
