A lovely little place to really dig into and enjoy some delicious Italian cuisine, and of course there’s bread and wine!
It was a lovely experience dining here, and the ambience provided the perfect setup to complement the food. The place is well lit, but not too bright with relatively spacious seating that will allow you to enjoy your company without feeling boxed. The predominant wooden interiors with brick walls and the bar counter as the centerpiece with a homely decorative with beautiful paintings not only looks pretty but gives relaxed vibes and adds to the authenticity of the experience.
The service too is really great with very courteous staff and pretty quick service. The staff is also quite helpful with recommendations and do make you feel quite comfortable.
The food is absolutely amazing! The menu is loaded with various popular and some surprisingly unique Italian dishes! The bread basket that comes as a complementary welcome pack is delicious - soft , flavorful and smells like heaven!! The lasagna is absolutely delightful and a must try! And not to forget, the pizzas and pasta! What’s the point of coming to an Italian place if you don’t munch on the pizza and stuff on the pasta?? Do try the Fritos for the appetizers , they are amazing and for me the arabiata pasta and amanti pork pizza were the highlight!! The place also serves a variety of wines and they really go well with the food. There’s also wine from international houses that you can enjoy in addition to the domestic one. Not much of a wine drinker, but tried the sangria and it was really good and complemented the food!
There are also a few desserts worth trying. Couldn’t do it this time, but surely coming back for them next time.
The pricing is quite ok for the food. The ingredients have a feel of superiority and quality along with freshness. The quantity of the servings is also quite good and the toppings and fillings are very generous. Add to this the location, ambience and service, the price looks very decent for such a place. The wines I did feel were a bit expensive, but the rest really is value for money!
Overall a wonderful place to have a delightful experience and indulge in interesting and amazing Italian cuisine!!
PS: Took an extra pizza home as take away! Couldn’t resist. Del Chianti… it...
Read moreChianti is one of the few best places to have authentic Italian fare in Bangalore. While I have visited them more than once, trying out the best of their menu, I tend to judge an Italian place based on the bruschetta that they serve. The ones served in Chianti are not just the best, they take the whole experience to another level by letting you make your own serving of bruschetta. They give you all the ingredients and request you to follow the set of instructions carefully placed on the table. It's a wonderful way of customer engagement, that I love about them.
I ended up in Chianti for an early lunch with an interview candidate, and tried some of their popular regulars apart from trying out gnocchi for the very first time.
I must mention the service, which is very non intrusive, at the same time adequately sufficient.
Since we were busy conversing, the ever friendly manager came to our rescue as he suggested our group of 5 a careful selection of Chianti's signature vegetarian & non-vegetarian starters.
The platter was an excellent choice, and my favourite remained the bruschetta and the caprese salad.
I have always wanted to have gnocchi, never really had a chance to try out here in Chianti or elsewhere. So this time I made the bold mistake be towards a gnocchi in mushroom & creme sauce. While the fluffy little pillows bathed in a mushroom creme sauce looked innocent, it was a heavy meal. While I enjoyed this main, I wasn't sure if I would prefer to have this heavy carb load next time all by myself. Perhaps a loved one to share would have been nice.
With the heavy meal, we would not have done justice to their desserts, hence we skipped them. But I must say they come highly recommended. In all my previous visits I have had their desserts, must try are the tiramisu, & chocolate bombe.
Overall a great place to fine dine over authentic Italian fare, comes heavily recommended from a formal lunch to a...
Read moreFantastic Italian spot on 12th Main in Indiranagar. It comes with a wide selection of dishes coupled with a beautiful ambience that makes the entire experience a beautiful one.
Ambience: (5/5) This place has such a beautiful feel to it, with the pictures on the wall to the woodwork in the store to the lighting, it all comes together really well. The seating options allows for multiple sizes and hence is a great place for 2 or up to 8 people.
Food: (5/5) What a fantastic set of food options. The menu is exhaustive in all it offers and can make deciding a bit of problem. But to be honest everything we ordered was excellent. The mushroom and cheese starter was excellent in flavour and texture. The prawn garlic starter was also great as it paired extremely well with the bread, especially the garlic topping. For the mains we had a duck ravioli, steak and lasagne. All of them were brilliant. The ravioli was perfectly balanced in flavour and texture and the cheese was not overpowering. The steak though slightly rare, felt very well marinated and provided a great flavour all the way through. The lasagne was very similar to how it was made at home and so I really enjoyed how it took me back to my childhood. To top it all, we had some red wine sangrias which pair well with all that we had. The sangrias were also very well made and not watered down like some other places in the city. All in all a fantastic experience with the food.
Summary: (5/5) Perhaps one of the best Italian options in the city given the breath of food options and just how much detail and effort went into each dish. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and strongly recommend this place to anyone looking for a...
