FabHotel Skyry I — Hotel in Central Zone

Absolutely the worst hotel experience I've ever had, and I would strongly caution anyone against booking with FabHotels. This chain has consistently let me down, but this stay was beyond disappointing.

To start, I booked a different location, only to receive a call from FabHotels 30 minutes before check-in, claiming there were "electricity issues" and moving us to FabHotel Skyry near Gandhipuram bus stand. We didn’t have time to make alternative arrangements, so reluctantly, we agreed. Big mistake—what happened next felt like daylight robbery.

Pros of this hotel? None.

Cons:

The location is right next to the bus depot, making it chaotic, dirty, and filled with constant bus noise. The surroundings are downright unpleasant and absolutely unsuitable for families.

The rooms are in horrible condition. I’ve attached photos for proof: filthy bed sheets with stains, windows coated with thick dirt, a bathroom that looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in a month, broken lights, rock-hard beds, a main door lock that was barely functional, a bathroom light that was damaged and exposed, no hot water unless we requested a bucket from staff, and an AC that initially didn’t work and needed a 30-minute fix. My parents were disappointed as we booked two rooms initially.

All in all, staying here feels like being in a low-grade, rundown lodge. FabHotels seems to make a habit of overbooking better-rated locations and then shuffling guests into these terrible places. Fab hotels cheated big time. Very bad communication by the customer services people. We booked a room for 1900 in a property. We booked the room first and they kept sending a payment link saying there is a discount if payment is done immediately. Hence we paid and once we reached the property the hotel people said no rooms are available. When contacted fab hotel customer care the lady who spoke was rude and casual. They said they cannot refund immediately. Hence i had to fight and make them book another property for the same price. But they booked a very cheap hotel which was so unclean and no facilities at all. It was a very bad experience and fab hotels are absolute cheaters. Never use fab hotel platform to book hotels. Given an opportunity or if time permits i wouldn't mind to sue...

I had seen the review but still dared to check-in - the photos which are shown here are pepped up, the place is a very old not well maintained hotel, basically I have seen collage couples come in for the day and the bed sheets were not clean I could see light red spots on it and place doesn't give a good vibe AC is functions but very low cooling bathrooms shabby and no soap nothing was given as its near to bus stand it's accessible but ya just basic amenities..if ur coming alone and didn't find any other hotel then last resort is this...and they never clean beneath the bed I could see years of junk below.
