Hotel Cabana — Hotel in Delhi

Booked for 4 nights, Super deluxe room, left after 1. Big traveller and in no way fussy(once stayed in the worst rated room in the worst hostel in phi phi and never felt a need to write a bad review. The difference, they were honest and I knew what I was getting. But this place deserved some special recognition. This hotel was so unnecessarily bad and dishonest that each of the human senses needs its own ||Emancipation session. Everything below multiply by 2 because we tried 2 rooms and same problem in each.||||Vision: both rooms are actually okay structurally and have potential to be what the “completely genuine” reviews say it is. But it is absolutely filthy. Rubbish on the floor, carpets that have not been hovered since ever, built up grime on every surface that could easily have been cleaned but was not. In short, not a stain here and there, but that dirty dirt that takes effort to build.||||Sound: After 12 hour travels we arrived at 2am, where we were greeted by neighbouring room literally ruffling plastic bags in the hallway and chatting with their door wide opened, like clockwork when they finished their game of ruffles at 4.00am we were greeted by a relentless thunderous roar of a water boiler which kept us company until check out the next morning.||||Touch: The half a toilet roll and the towels appeared dry but had a delightful damp feel, which settled the debate on a late night shower. The sheets as I lay there fully clothed with the rustling, the roaring and the tiredness added to the experience by having crusty stains where your hand would pull the sheet to your body, which added to the macro experience.||||Smell/taste: To call it just a smell is to do this odour an injustice. The stench of urine emanating from the grimy toilet was so pungent it was like you could taste it in the back of your throat, like an invisible sulphuric soup that flavored the rustling, roaring, grimey, crusty most memorable experience.||||After all that, they said I wasn’t entitled to refund on early check out, even though room was definitely not the “super deluxe” it was advertised as. ||||Other than that...

Me and my husband stayed at Hotel Cabana for 3 nights last week when we were in Delhi for holidays. The hotel is close to RK ashram metro station and has autos and cabs nearby for transportation all round the clock.

Location - 4/5 Decor and facilities- 3/5 Cleanliness - 3/5 Service - 3/5 Cost - $$ Worth the $ - not for me! Travel services - available

My experience: We arrived early in the morning on 26/11/2017 at around 10AM in the morning and the manager checked us in. The early check in was very helpful as we were tired from the early morning flight journey. The room was clean and service was good that day. Later in the evening we asked the manager about their tour services to agra. So he arranged a cab for us for next day morning.

Everything was fine till we reached Agra. That day we wanted to do sunset tour of Tajmahal (it was friday, we wanted to do it from outside, from the fort). But we missed it as we could not reach the driver (his phone was switched off). Later while we were going somewhere in the cab, the driver stopped the cab suddenly and some guy randomly got into the cab and said he was our guide (nothing was told to us at the hotel about a guide- we had asked just a cab service). We were alarmed!

Later we reached out hotel folks that night and they said guide was included in the tour! Anyways we finished agra tour and came back to Delhi and our driver was not happy with the tips we gave him and he showed it! ( we were told it was all inclusive and we do not have to pay a dime, yet we tipped him).

We said we did not feel comfortable with the whole situation back in Agra. But the hotel manager was not ready to listen to any of our issues (he said he works for the hotel n travel is not managed by him). Also the room we checked in had cockroaches🙄 the housekeeping staff put some pest control spray or something and we had to stay the night in a room without ventilation breathing pesticides 🙄 Not something we planned for our vacation!

We left Delhi with weird and bitter experience! I would rather pay more and stay in some place cleaner and where people are...

First I'd booked a room on call (searched online first) the person on call named Aanand said online book karne par chota room milega offline me bada rahega aur price for one night will be 1500rs. Include GST. Locality is within reach by NDLS and RK Ashram metro station. They showed me 4 rooms on 1st and 2nd floor..and all are congested...no room matched with online photos. even can't move proper in the room. I was scammed. The bed was adjacent to the wall on one side. Small sized bed, AC didn't work as it was made for.. 2 raatein toh paseena hi tha...saare switches niche desk se operate hote the, hot water ke liye toh 50 baar call kiye honge bas 5 minute ke liye hi hot water on karte the baa...AC, hot water ke liye din me 3-4 call toh fix hi... Every time ask to on hot water, turn on AC of our room aisa tha ki sab call karne par hi, no privacy. Room service person was good Toilet me paani aapke pairon ke niche hi rukta hai... Fan bhi Chikchik karte chal raha tha.... Check out ke waqt GST bill ke liye mana kiya..nd ask rs480 for GST bill.. After conversation They give me receipt for our stay
