As a Goan i am extremely DISAPPOINTED and UPSET with the service from the owner of this shop. I have seen so many bad reviews about the attitude of the RUDE hostile owner. And this is the first time i have experienced it! I went there after church and placed an order for 3 club sandwich’s and orange juice, i called the owner Uncle with respect ( he is way older than i am) while paying for the order and he rudely told me “Don’t call me Uncle i am not your uncle” in the most disgusting tone infront of other customers and staff. I explained that i was speaking to him with respect and since they don’t wear any name badges, i called him uncle. He said i have to call him Sir!!!!?? What the hell? I am the customer and I AM PAYING HIM!! he should be calling me MADAM, i was friendly, respectful and polite and HIS DISGUSTING TONE AND ATTITUDE has upset me greatly. I asked him for his name and he didn’t have the guts to tell me! I even asked the other customers if i was wrong and they said i was right. No apology either! People like this owner spoil Goans reputation and are an embarrassment to us! ABSOLUTE waste man. 🤮🤮 i will never go there again and you shouldn’t either! They should change the holy name of the shop it’s...
Read moreGreat snacks near Colva Beach – but some room for improvement
Menino Jesus Coffee Shop is a cozy and casual stop along Colva Beach Road, perfect for a quick snack or chilled-out bite with friends. They serve a variety of local and Western-style snacks, and most of what I tried was genuinely delicious.
Highly recommend their cheese spring rolls, burgers, beef samosas, and chicken strips – all were freshly made, flavourful, and satisfying. The beef samosas especially stood out for their crispiness and rich filling. Their juices and milkshakes are also refreshing, which makes this place a great escape from the heat.
However, a couple of items need work. The chicken roll was quite dry, with barely any shredded chicken inside – it definitely needs more filling and moisture. Similarly, the prawn rissois looked promising but were disappointing; the pockets were almost empty and didn’t justify the price.
The place can get busy, especially in the evenings and not all items are always available, so be prepared with a second choice.
Still, it’s a solid spot if you're in the Colva area and craving a mix of Goan and snack-style bites. Affordable prices, decent variety, and mostly great flavours – worth...
