Hotel Balwas — Hotel in Gujarat

We arrived early morning (6:30 am) in hotel Balwas after a 12 hour trip in a sleeper bus. The hotel was not fully booked and staff was able to grant us an early check-in, which was, for obvious reasons, very welcome. The beds were, compared to Indian standards, very comfortable but may be disapointing if you are only used to Western beds. Roomservice was very helpful. We ordered cheese omelets with toast (which are not on the menu) but the guy at the reception explained our order very well to the kitchen and we ate several very nice cheese omelets during our three night stay here. The guy delivering the food showed us which can was holding the salt by sprinkling it on the floor, which was somewhat odd and funny at the same time. Hotel Balwas turned out to be a great place to stay. The staff are very friendly. It was nice to find this place in a city that doesn't seem to cater much to foreign tourists. There are a few places in the area to stay, but this one is a great hotel. The price is reasonable, the room was very clean, and wifi is available with a code you can get from the reception desk.|If you want a hot shower, do it during the day, if possible.
