HOTEL NALANDA — Hotel in Gujarat

Let me give you detail review here…

i have booked this hotel directly over the phone and i told receptionist that i need room for two adult, one child and one infant n he said ok it will be 5000 per night n it will be deluxe room then i said online it shows 4200. Representative said ok i will match the price but you need to pay tax extra n need to pay 50% deposit up front and i agreed and paid..

i reached there on 16th December and they gave very small room with queen bed (6X5 ft) so i asked them will we fit here? and they said you have to adjust , so i requested that can you give extra mattress? and they said sorry we cant. so upon so much discussion at evening time they show me bigger room and asked me to pay 2700 extra for three nights so i had no option but to accept so that was very unpleasant experience..

Otherwise hotel was good, very clean and tidy. staff also very friendly however they will not give you anything until you ask for it… like we were four people (two adult and one child and one infant) so everyday we need to ask for extra towel, extra shower gel etc…. so in simple words , you need to ask then only they will give you… Breakfast is ok , more or less same menu everyday except couple of changes… however they have restaurant called spice villa and food there was very tasty… overall good...

Hotel Nalanda is an absolute delight. My husband and I stayed here for an extended period of time and were so comfortable while at the same time were treated like royalty. The hotel is beautifully designed and decorated and kept exceptionally clean. Every member of the staff goes out of their way to be of assistance and is warm, caring, and welcoming every time you see them. Vinod was especially helpful both leading up to and during our stay. The food service is top class and we learned that it's one of the top rated non-veg restaurants in the city. The complimentary breakfast has something for everyone. If you're staying for a few days, I highly recommend booking a suite. You'll find incredible comfort and all of the amenities you need for a spacious and relaxing stay. Hotel Nalanda will be our go to boutique hotel anytime we visit Ahmedabad. Make it your go...

On my recent trip to Ahmedabad, after a two to three years of horrible pandemic and looking it online I decided to book Nalanda where I have previously used many times. As I am fond of this hotel and after the makeover of the hotel I decided to book. Very nicely done . Clean and specious. Restaurant has improved a lot.. was happy with everything apart from night receptionist guy (little cubby) had no name plate actually no staff has. The way he was dealt with me and other guests is not acceptable. Either he is not trained or he shouldn’t be doing this job. And the way he dealt with me has put me off to book again. Although day time staff Aashis was very helpful and friendly. But the night fatty guy should be sacked.
