the overall experience was ok, not as thrilling. Taste wise food is flat not spicy portion wise it is good enough for 4. But not value for money had better experience
Reasons the interior was just as normal as any other "clean" eating place can be.
2.The best thing was the way they sanatized their plates and glass. I have never seen such a fantastic assurance. The plates were wraped in paper envelope, the glases and a water bottle were wraped in plastic cover.
Tissue papers was provided on table on demand, so that was in way not good but frm service point of view one can say they provided us ASAP.
The speciality was maharaj thali, portion wise it was enough of 4 people. But taste wise it was not spicy not even hot (teekha), mostly buttery and creamy curies, like panner butter masal, dal makhni, mutter panner, even soya chap , chana masal and mix veg with baby corn were not spicy. Over all the curies tastes bland. That was major one star rating drop for me.
4 types of breads, nan, butter tanduri, plan tanduri, missy roti and at one point I think there was aloo naan bread too.
Pine apple rayta was nice, chash( butter milk) was nice, bundi rayta was nice. Jaljeera water was okies.
They served sweet water may be limca or Nimbuzz but till the time we could taste it the gas was gone, it grew warm so it was terrible to taste, just some sweet water.
Gulab jamun, rasgulla were nice but the kher was not as sweet as it should be, and they claim the plate is enough for 4 ppl and serve only one plate of kher that was highly illogical could be half star rating fall, cause after eating 3 sweet dishes it does matter if there is one cup kheer of no at all but we pay for 4 ppl dining so we should get atleast 2 cup kher to be shared rightly.
9 . Portion of papad were enough for 4
Portion of plain jeera rice was enough but since dal or other curies were just falt in taste ppl who like spicy food will be disappointed . Veg briyani was served with green chatni portion wise it was enough and tasted good.
Usually the concept of thali is either pre-booking wise or available for early birds may be Atmost till 6:30 pm. However they served thali on demand basis. We were initially denied the options of thali reason being the rush hourse but after repeated requests or adamantly demanding whatever one may call it the management was understanding enough to serve us thali. We could see ppl coming as late as 8:30 and getting the thali served. We were disappointed because even after getting the confermation of thali on demand we were denied the thali, after repeated requests only the thali was served.
Option for packing the unfinished food is available.
Car parking is available
Lift is available
Management is open for feedbacks
Worst of all one can not repeat the iteam, I had the same experience of thali in Rajouri garden of less price and one can order as many time as one want, I personally ordered gulab...

Nestled inside S S Plaza, Sector 47, Gurugram, Kutumb Restaurant is a culinary gem that offers a unique dining experience blending tradition and taste. During my recent visit, I discovered that it's not just another eatery but a place where India's diverse regional flavors are celebrated under one roof.
Kutumb is the brainchild of Aashish Arora, a visionary restaurateur whose love for food and community is reflected in every corner of the place.
India's Largest Thali – A Culinary Spectacle
Kutumb's claim to fame is India's largest and heaviest thali, weighing in at a staggering 18 kilograms! It showcases over 46 dishes, carefully curated from across the country. As much as I wanted to take on this mighty food challenge, I decided to save it for another time and began my journey with a few popular starters.
Paneer Tikka & Spring Rolls – Starters Done Right
First up was the paneer tikka, grilled to perfection with just the right balance of smoky flavor and tenderness. Each bite melted in my mouth, setting the tone for an excellent meal. I followed it up with their spring rolls, crispy on the outside and packed with flavorful vegetables on the inside. Both dishes were well-executed and left me craving more.
A Sip of Freshness – Mint Virgin Mojito
While enjoying the starters, I sipped on their Fresh Mint Virgin Mojito, which hit all the right notes with its zesty, refreshing flavors. It was the perfect drink to accompany the meal, especially on a warm day.
A Divine Delight – Kutumb's Navratri Thali
Since it was Navratri season, I couldn't resist trying their Navratri Thali. Kutumb has crafted this offering with both flavor and devotion, making it an ideal choice for those observing the fast while still wanting something hearty. The thali featured Shahi Paneer, Sabudana cutlet, Pumpkin sabzi, Aloo sabzi, Kuttu puri, Samak rice, Sabudana kheer, and many other traditional fasting dishes. Each dish was carefully prepared, full of flavor, and light on the stomach—a perfect combination for festive indulgence.
Final Thoughts
My experience at Kutumb Restaurant was nothing short of delightful. From the tantalizing starters to the refreshing drinks and the thoughtful Navratri Thali, everything reflected Kutumb's commitment to offering an authentic, flavorful experience.
Whether you're looking to try their legendary 46-dish thali or simply enjoy a well-cooked meal in a cozy setting, Kutumb is a must-visit destination for food lovers in Gurugram.
I can't wait to return and take on the challenge of their giant thali next time. Until then, Kutumb has secured a permanent spot on my list of go-to places...
