This was my second visit 2.5 years apart. While my first visit in January 2019 was a one day biz trip, this was an extended weekend getaway with family n relatives. We were two couples and a 6 year old. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Staff was hospitable. This place is very centrally located in Jaipur, right behind the famous cinema hall “RajMandir”. You can walk to many restaurants, cafes, eateries within 500mtr distance. Main attractions such as City Palace and Johri bazar are just 6mins drive away. Auto rickshaw can charge between ₹40-50/- one side.
They had all the usual amenities of a boutique hotel such as a swimming pool, Resturant, Free car parking, room service. The Pool was closed during our visit due to govt Covid guidelines.
I think Covid and associated lockdown have hit them pretty hard as most of the freebies such as toiletries and room slippers etc were missing. Even upon request they were only able to provide soaps. With lot of difficulty and time they arranged slippers and a dental kit. This I’m sure would improve with time as revenues return as their intentions did not seem thrifty
Cleaning staff was very good, helpful and honest. They even cleaned some of our personal utensils which we had left behind in the room after preparing something for my daughter as she find restaurants foods very spicy
They should definitely be more open to customising food for guests during breakfast instead of giving everyone a blind refusal. People have a huge variety of eating prohibitions such as against sugar, onion & garlic, spice etc. They did customise for us given that I had a child with me but rest of us had to settle with what was available in the buffet however it was.
Next time I’d rather book a room here without breakfast and go out to Rawat’s, LMB, Darsaprakash or any one of many such options
Pros: Great location Hospitable staff Clean and comfortable rooms Nice view of a sports academy from higher floors and Aravali hills
Cons: Food/breakfast wasn’t all that great during both of my visits They don’t entertain any requests either if you ask them to prepare something for you other than what’s in the buffet unless you have a child or senior person with you(this too requires permission from senior managers) Kitchen and food service has some major areas for improvement. Even in buffet they very frequently ran out of glasses, plates, food itself and took lot of time in...
Read morePros: Location: Next to MI road, close to markets of bapu bazar etc. and to the places of hawa mahal, amer fort etc. Beautiful & clean lobby: please note how I specifically mentioned lobby.
Cons: I have a long long list but I will limit to main items for you to make a decision. Room cleanliness: 0. There were cigarette ashes on the floor at time of check-in. Visible dust and smell of alcohol in the room. Room linens & bedsheets: First they looked terribly old. Sheets were torn at places and was somehow sewed together to keep it intact. For a place charging ~4K for a night, it doesn't suit well. Bathroom: Unclean! Washbasin, pots, walls - visibly unclean. There were gutka stains all over. To add to my surprise, the shower curtain had black mold stains which cannot miss your eye even if you want to. Included breakfast with room: Not worth it! I would better spend Rs 230 (that's their charge for breakfast buffet) elsewhere to avoid a stomache, limit to eating an omelete (that was the only tasty & fresh food item) and sitting on dirty chairs. I dare not to try our their dinner buffet. Location: There is a pub next street which is super loud during the night. I was travelling with parents and family and no one could sleep until 2 AM in the morning. To add to it, there are bars next door as well, and overall it doesn't make for a super safe neighborhood for family and relatives. Deal with Agoda: CHEATING! I booked the room through Agoda clearly stating the occupancy of 2 adults per room. At check-in hotel told me that it allows only for 1 adult per room and asked to pay Rs. 500 extra for second guest (forget additional bed). Agoda didn't help either. Please be aware and check your confirmation email from agoda if you are using...
Read moreOverall, my experience at this hotel was a mixed bag. While there were some notable positives, such as the safe location, comfortable rooms, and the dedicated housekeeping team, there were several areas where improvements are needed.
The WiFi situation was a complete letdown, as it seemed that the staff was more focused on data savings than providing a reliable and fast connection. This made it frustrating for both business and leisure travelers who rely on a stable internet connection.
Snacking options were limited, so it's advisable to come prepared with your own snacks if you're someone who enjoys nibbling between meals.
The room service left much to be desired. It was inconsistent, and the occasional rudeness of the staff was disappointing. Basic amenities like tissues during meal service and table cleaning post-meal should be standard and shouldn't require constant reminders.
On a positive note, the housekeeping team deserves recognition for dedication to their work. They ensured that the rooms were well-maintained and comfortable throughout my stay.
In summary, this hotel has the potential to be a great place to stay, thanks to its location and room quality. However, it's essential for the management to address the manmade WiFi issues, room service, and better range of snack offerings to provide a more enjoyable and hassle-free...
