Niros, a long-established restaurant in Jaipur, carries quite the reputation. However, my recent experience suggests that it may not live up to the considerable hype. Marketed as a fine dining establishment, Niros’ offerings and ambiance fall short of the expectations set by its lofty prices, which are on par with five-star venues. During a dinner visit, I sampled the chicken tikka and butter chicken, both of which commanded a premium price of ₹900 for a half portion. Regrettably, the dishes did not distinguish themselves from what one might find in Delhi for half the cost. The chicken tikka was satisfactory, yet the ₹750 price tag seemed excessive. The presentation, along with the tableware, contributed to an overall mundane dining experience. A subsequent lunch at Niros, prompted by a lack of alternatives on MI Road, led to further disappointment. Opting for continental fare, I ordered the Chicken Steak sizzler and Roast chicken. Contrary to my request for a simple side of fries, the steak—a minced chicken patty—arrived with an array of vegetables. Although the staff did replace the vegetables with fries upon request, the fries were unfortunately fried in oil that left visible black crumbs. The roast chicken was passable, but the lackluster plating detracted from the meal. Each meal cost a substantial ₹2,200, yet neither the flavors nor the presentation justified the expense. Given the underwhelming experience, I find it difficult to recommend Niros. It pains me to say that the value simply does not align with the cost.

I recently dined at Niros in Jaipur, and I have to say, the experience was highly disappointing. Despite the restaurant’s hype, the food quality didn’t come close to the standards we expected, especially given the steep prices. We ordered a variety of dishes, including Mutton Seekh Kabab, Chicken Sweet Corn Soup, Paneer Tikka, Chicken Tikka Butter Masala, Lal Maas, and Vegetable Kofta. Unfortunately, each item fell short. The flavors were bland, lacking the richness and authenticity one expects from Jaipur’s culinary scene. The Vegetable Kofta was particularly poor – bland and tasteless, it was by far the worst part of the meal. At 900 rupees for a mere 8 pieces of Chicken Malai Tikka, the pricing felt exorbitant, especially given the mediocre taste. Comparable – or even better – food is easily available at other places in Jaipur for far less. While the service was passable, it wasn’t enough to make up for the poor food quality and high prices. In my opinion, Niros is completely overhyped and overpriced. Save your money and opt for one of the many other excellent restaurants Jaipur has to offer. This is a place I would not recommend at all.

We had a really great meal at Niro's, with exceptionally delicious food and lovely service. Their famous laal mas was amazingly delicious and spicy fiery. We also had their sarson ka saag, bondi raita, a selection of breads and of course, an ice cold Kingfisher beer. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat! Our bill came and I paid with my card as we were travelling. All was good until the server came back with the receipt and returned my card and made it a point to tell us - We have no service charge and you can leave us a cash tip if you want. While I did leave a small tip, I couldn't help but wonder why Niro's management doesn't simply pay their staff a fair wage instead of relying on customer gratuities. Niro's is far from a cheap or dingy establishment, and their staff deserves to be compensated accordingly. It's time for restaurants like Niro's to step up and ensure their employees are fairly rewarded for their hard work and dedication. After all, it's the staff who make the dining experience what it is – truly exceptional.

After a Big fat Indian wedding in Jaipur , what should one do ? Go and pack some delectable Rajasthani food and take it back with you. We had to bring Laal Maas for my family members from Jaipur and Niro's is the place to get it from. One of the oldest (since 1949) and most famous restaurants of Jaipur Niro's is located on the famous MI road on the right hand side just opposite Monte Carlo and Khadi Bhandaar. This is just a super classy place with a great old world charm.

We didn't intend to have lunch that time , but we thought of having something before we hit the road. In hindsight it was a great decision as by the time we reached home we were famished lol. We ordered 3 plates of Laal Maas , 2 plates of Rajasthani Sulah and 2 plates of Gatta Curry which we asked them to pack safely for the road. In the meantime we ordered their Mutton Burger Steak to have for lunch. Mutton Burger Steak took some time to come as it was prepared on a sizzler platter. There are 2 huge mutton burger patties in the middle of the sizzler and on the side there is cabbage which is directly toasted by the sizzler , french fries , caramelized onions , veggies and a side of spinach sauce. It's a whole show when the dish comes and people are turning and taking a look at what was ordered. On the side there is a serving of a light mutton Jus which is then used to top the mutton patties. This is one of the finest sizzlers I have ever had. The mutton burger patty was not too overpowering with the spices but just enough to have some different flavours apart from the lamb. The mutton in Jaipur had just been awesome and so was this. The onions in the patty gave a nice crunchy texture to it. Then the cabbage , I generally don't have cabbage as it's not very clean but as it was on the sizzler I ate it and that was really nice . Fresh with a crunch and a bit of bitterness due to it getting sizzled was really nice. The green beans , carrots and tomatoes were all very nice with the rich meal and gave a nice healthy and fresh element . But the main thing was that spinach sauce , that was just fantastic. Again mild but a flavour bomb it really elevated the dish big time. It went well with everything - the mutton burger , the fries , veggies ! The caramelized onions were a nice addition as they brought in sweetness to it while the fries were a bit soggy but a nice starchy part of the meal. Overall this was just an amazing dish.

We finished off our lunch with a Tutti Frutti Ice Cream which they make in house. It was served in a beautiful silver glass (2 in our case as we asked for a split) and is made using fruits which are candied. The ice cream was a mix of vanilla and strawberry and the fruits were apple , pineapple , melon etc which were all candied and put into the ice cream . Fantastic tutti Frutti Ice cream for sure.

We were served by Mr.Ratan Roy , who really did a phenomenal job. He was very meticulous and systematic in terms of serving and really was on point with his job. Kudos to him . Finally our packed goods came and we paid our bill , which was pretty high but worth it in my opinion. We paid around 7000 for the whole food we are and packaged. The food we brought home was perfectly packaged and nothing spilled out. The laal Maas was just amazing , decently spice but full of flavours and the mutton was tender as usual. The lamb sulah was really tasty aswell , again full of flavours packed in a small package. The gatta wasn't very good but oh well. Price as mentioned is definitely on the higher side but it's worth it especially if you are dining in the restaurant as one will enjoy a classy meal with great service and fantastic food. Will definitely be back for more next...

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Hype!

We visited Niros, Jaipur, on the night of the 26th, based on its reputation and Google reviews, but our experience was highly disappointing and frustrating.

Food Quality – Below Average We started with Cream of Tomato Soup and Vegetable Soup, expecting rich flavors, but both were completely tasteless. When we informed the staff, they showed no concern and had no response.

For the main course, we ordered Paneer Butter Masala, but it had an overwhelming amount of tomato gravy, making it highly unbalanced in taste. For the kids, we ordered Chili Garlic Noodles and Dumplings, but even they found the food bland and unappetizing.

Customer Service – Worst Experience Ever One of the biggest letdowns was the staff’s rude and indifferent attitude. Instead of addressing our concerns, they completely ignored our feedback. We tried to escalate the issue to the manager, but shockingly, he was dismissive and refused to acknowledge any problem. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable, especially in a restaurant that claims to be premium.

Pricing – Overpriced & Not Justified Despite the high prices, the food was nowhere near the expected quality. Even an average restaurant in Jaipur serves better food at a fraction of the price. We were highly disappointed with the overall experience, and it felt like a complete waste of money.

Final Verdict – Not Recommended! If you’re thinking of dining at Niros, think twice! The food lacks taste, the service is poor, and the management doesn’t care about customers. Such an attitude is unacceptable in the hospitality industry.

For reference, our bill number was 27381, so they can verify our visit. We do not recommend this place at...

It was my final day at Jaipur last evening, after getting to know about this place and the legacy it carried, we tried to step it for dinner and close the day with a happy feel to cherish the valuable time spent here in Jaipur. However all it went crashing right from our mood to our appetite. We ordered for a Chicken Pulao (Around ₹850/-) and a chicken platter (₹1000) and to add a few drinks. To add further this was the most horrible food that I've ever tasted with the price tag it carries. The Chicken pulao had a mild pungent smell, and it wasn't even served hot! It was warm on the top layer and inside of was just cold. The Chicken platter came that we ordered had strands of hair in it and on complaining it was replaced with a horrible taste again, like they just wanted us to leave the place. I tell you folks, refrain from going here, it is a big dent on your pocket, these guys are just trained to sell stuff that's not worth eating and rocket high price for dishes that doesn't demand such a tag. It's a curse i visited here, and yes I'd promote this back home in Bangalore as well to tell how bad my experience was and how my circle of folks visiting Jaipur must not enter here at this Black hole, adding to the loss of my money and moreover how it ruined our evening. Niros, guys you folks are a loot, this style of business is due to perish soon. A cursed evening at a sick dine in place with an outlook of luxury cusine. Hate everybit of mine to take this decision to step in. The most horrible food ever that we've tasted. Bad luck...
