Raj Mandir Hotel, Jodhpur
Raj Mandir Hotel feels like stepping into a bygone era. The property is more of an old haveli with stunning architecture that transports you back to the times of kings. Every detail in the design and interiors is a testament to the rich heritage of Jodhpur.
The food was delicious, and the views from the haveli were equally breathtaking. However, do note that the hotel is located in a narrow lane. To reach it, you’ll need to walk or take a tuk-tuk. The signboard isn’t very prominent, but you can ask the tuk-tuk driver to drop you at Navchokya Auto Stand, and from there, it’s just a 15-step walk into a small lane. Calling the hotel for guidance is helpful.
The location is excellent, being very close to the old city market—a must-visit for any tourist. While there, make sure to try the famous pyaz kachori and stuffed mirchi pakoda at Raju Namkeen. Nearby, at Lakshmi Hotel, indulge in malai roti and malai kulfi, both of which are delicious. The market is also a great place to shop for Rajputani lehenga choli, sweaters, bangles, and other local handicrafts.
Another highlight is the nearby Toorji Ka Jhalra stepwell, a picturesque spot ideal for photography during the day and early evening. It remains open at night but lacks sufficient lighting for good pictures.
Overall, Raj Mandir Hotel is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting Jodhpur for the first time. Its charm, proximity to key attractions, and cultural richness make it highly...
Read moreWe stayed at Raj Mandir hotel for 3 nights in February. It’s located in the heart of the Blue City, which means it is within walking distance to the fort and all the old sites. FYI – it also means it is only accessible via auto from the station/ airport etc since cars can’t traverse the narrow lanes of the old city, so keep that in mind if you are driving or renting a car yourself. The rooms are comfortable, and the restaurant on the top floor provides convenient access to meals/ tea/ coffee. The food is so-so, so there is an opportunity for the hotel to improve. The highlight of the hotel is its view of the Jodhpur Fort, whether from your own room’s balcony or from the terrace, the unconquered Jodhpur Fort makes an impressive site night or day. Special thanks to Avi; the receptionist who provided great customer service and made our stay comfortable and homely. He also booked a professional taxi service for us to go to Jaisalmer. Recommended for those who want to stay in the heart of Jodhpur and don’t mind being in Jodhpur...
Read moreWhen you are about to enter the Haveli you will be disappointed but as and when you enter the entrance you will be amazed. Very well decorated and beautiful..proper haveli types.
Rooms : Rooms were spacious, very well decorated. Bathrooms were neat and clean. They also provided amenities like Gyser, AC, Electric kettle, iron etc. The bed was a little uncomfortable.
Resturant Food: Food was tasty but charges are overpriced. You can't charge 100rs for plain Maggi 😀. They have resturant at the top which looks amazing. You can see the Fort from there. Nice view.
Hospitality was great. They ready to serve you always with a smile.
Location: It's close to the blue City , and other sights are also not far. Easy access to auto rikshaw from the hotel , so no issues. Basic shops and medicine shops are just below the hotel (in case you are traveling with kids you always need some ) .
Our stay was very good and many thanks to all the staffs .. specially Arjun...
