The guest house is located in hill areas. No auto from outside areas go to this exact location. They will only drop you till chowk and then you have to climb up for reaching to actual guest house. For me, it was very inconvenient as i don't have habit of climbing. Apart from it, they make tea and food when you require but they make nonveg food also. It was difficult for me as I'm pure veg. The owner was supportive and guided me for sightseeing of the jodhpur places. I felt lot of interference from him as he wanted to know all the plans ,in detail, which I was about to do for sightseeing ,dinner or any other thing. Even they note where are you planning to go after leaving the guest house by saying that it's mandatory for them to know but nowhere i have seen this kind of interference. After telling him, that I'm going to my hometown after leaving this, he was also interested in knowing by which travels and other details. I really didn't feel comfortable in this kind of interference. The owner was more interested in keeping the guests outside of guest house so that his electricity bill will be less. They prefer more foreigners rather than Indians. They should mention the same in booking details if that's the case. I was there for 2 days temporarily so I adjusted. The wife of owner and the staff were really friendly and nice lady. She doesn't interfere. I do not recommend it for Indians because of location and the interference and attitude. If you make the guest house open for Indians, then respect them same way rather than doubts, tension of electricity bills, less interference. Only guide people...
Read moreThe walk up to the guest house is steep, but its location on the hill at the foot of the fort is one of the best things about the place. Not only does this allow very easy access to what is a stunning monument hosting a fascinating slice of local history, but it elevates the establishment above most other nearby buildings.
From the tastefully lit balcony/terrace you can see sweeping views across Jodhpur, which were spectacular from the off - even more so on new year's eve when the skies became peppered with a colourful shower of fireworks.
The local area is very quiet - far enough from the the engines and beeping that characterises the urban soundscape in the rest of the city.
The hosts could not have done more to make us feel welcome and comfortable. They are extremely friendly and attentive at all times and offered to help us in any way that they could.
The food is fantastic. From the Indian offerings, to the superbly executed South Korean menu, the food we had was cooked fresh and was perfectly seasoned and spiced. I would recommend eating here even if you were not staying in one of the rooms.
The room itself was clean and basic, however the single pane window did rattle in the wind which might be irritating for some.
Overall, I thoroughly recommend this place and will gladly stay here next time I...
Read moreI think all people who have traveled in India understand how important it is for a hotel to be clean, insect-free, with clean linens and tasty, not spicy food. So, this hotel is just a gorgeous place! I have been traveling in India for 1.5 months now and this is the cleanest hotel I have ever met! Bed linen of perfect cleanliness, as well as the whole room and plumbing! The owner of the hotel is just smart and a perfectionist in his field. The food is delicious! I celebrate my birthday here and I am very glad that the Universe gave me such a gift. The rooftop cafe is great, it's a pleasure to have breakfast with this view.I also want to tell you about the owner of the hotel and his family. I travel alone and celebrated my birthday alone in the beautiful city of Jodhpur. Ranveer and his family gave me a real treat with cake and balloons when I returned to the hotel in the evening! Can you imagine? A real holiday! This is just a great family and a very nice hotel. It is small, unpretentious, but cozy. I ordered food at the hotel every day, because the guys cook very very tasty. To sum up, I am very grateful to the Universe that I got to this hotel for my birthday, I felt like I was at home. Thank you very much my Indian...
