I loved everything about Dagley The Lounge! I stayed at the Kings Palace guest house (which I recommend too) for several days and ate many meals at Dagleys. The ambience, the service, and most importantly--the food were all excellent!!! Their view is incredible as it looks out at the majestic fort. The couches are comfy and a great place to chill out (with a beer, ha!) and relax after a long day of exploring the Old City. The people who work there are soooo polite and a pleasure to see every morning at breakfast.
In terms of food, I tried so many great dishes. I'm a huge fan of Indian food and loved the paneers (I tried out the Palak and Kadai), the Kair Sangari and Gatta Curry (traditional Rajashtani dishes) were excellent, and loved the Malai Kofta. I also tried their brick oven pizzas and the spicy chicken salad, which were both really fresh and tasty-- and a nice change! For something light, I recommend the peanut marsala and samosas. Side note: if you're a coffee drinker like me and have a hard time finding a decent cup in India, try it here and ask for it "strong". It was perfect :-)
I really enjoyed eating at this restaurant and definitely recommend...

Last night we had a couple of beers on the rooftop with 5 friends in total. We eat some nachos (nothing special) and the owner of the place seems really nice and talked about his bike tours. It all went good until we got the bill. We sorted everything out, payed around 4400 rupees and suddenly 1000 rupees disappeared in the waiter his pocket. They told us the bill was incomplete and that we have to pay. After a long discussion suddenly the 1000 rupees where back but this costs us 10 minutes of discussion with the owner and waiters!
This is a warning! Even if people are nice you have to check everything!! I have a question for this restaurant.. I really don't understand why you would steel 1000 rupees.. Is it really worth these bad reviews? Wish you and your whole company all the luck and new guest be aware! This guy seems...
Read moreGreat views of the fort lit up at night and friendly service. I came here twice in one day, first for pizza, which was a nice change of pace for an unsettled stomach and was cooked in a wood oven, but it looks like they use pre-made pizza bases instead of fresh dough.
Came back in the evening wanting tandoori chicken and kair sangri (green beans), but unfortunately they didn't have tandoori that night and were out of green beans. Ended up with the butter chicken, which had a nice flavorful sauce, but the chicken was a little bit too bony and didn't have too much meat.
Generally a nice spot for a beer and view, with nice servers, but the food could be a bit fresher and they were out of a few things...
