Hotel Kanoos Residency — Hotel in Kerala

Worst experience and worst staff. We went for a dinner on 25th Dec 2017, one of the waiter took the order and it took almost an hour to serve the food. After having dinner we asked for the bill and we found two flaws in the bill. There was no GST number but GST was charged. When we asked them and they responded they can give the gst number. To my knowledge if gst is charged it is mandatory to have gst printed in the invoice. Aqua Fina water bottle MRP was 19, we bought 4 bottles and 3 water bottles were not included. We told them and they gave us a separate bill, surprised to see the water bottle was charged 35 per bottle plus 5% Gst. So u end up paying 40 rupees for a 19 rupees bottle. We started to argue stating the MRP is inclusive of taxes but one person said in all star hotels it is like that (to be precise a man with curly hair). They called another person who claims to be the restaurant manager he argued for 10 minutes and when we said we will write the review and share in social media and he just instructed his staff to repay the amt. We took the bill and everyone came running behind asking the bill, and the reason they stated is we refunded ur amt for water bottles then why you cannot give back the bill. After reading the reviews here, I had booked a superior room in Kanoos residency through make my trip for three people. However my stay here was disappointing. The hotel is understaffed and the response time is very slow. As soon as I checked in, I found the safety locker they provided in the room was already locked and was unable to open it. Called reception twice to fix it, no one turned up. Expected a queen or king size bed in the room, but had 2 separate single beds. We were also not provided an extra bed considering there were 3 of us. There was no ceiling fan in the room and only a central AC that takes time to cool - this was uncomfortable considering the hot weather in Guruvayur throughout the year. The lighting is also dim and found few of the bulbs were not getting lit. The rooms as such require a bit of makeover. We decided to have dinner at the hotel and were made to wait around 30 mins for the food to arrive after placing the order. Though the manager informed us about the delay before we placed the order, a hotel that claims itself to be a 3 star should not take so much time - food quality was also average. Overall, disappointed but just about okay for one nights' stay. Cannot definitely call itself a 3 star hotel - it's more of a 2star hotel. For the price you pay, you can stay at...

Well the truth is not gonna go down well with you. We check in, 9 of us. I asked them for an iron to sort out my clothes, it got to the room after 35mts WITHOUT the ironing board. The guy went to get it n never returned. I called the reception. They tell me there's no iron board in the hotel 😂 that's like another 20mts gone. We ordered for food around 4pm...They call back at 4.30pm saying they DONT have chicken in the restaurant. After a while they call to say NO chicken sandwich. We had food outside. The hotel sucks. No hangers to even hang out your shirt in the wardrobe. The current fluctuated badly putting our MacBooks at risk. NO complimentary water in the room. In short, it's not worth coming into this hotel. It's substandard. It's your choice...
