Review Title: Extremely Disappointing Experience
I visited the Indian Coffee House, West Nada, Guruvayur, on 12th January 2025, after a long and tiring 9-hour queue at the Guruvayur Temple. Unfortunately, the food and service left us extremely disappointed.
We ordered 2 ghee roasts and 1 cup of tea. The food was poorly cooked, the ghee roast lacked flavor, and the chutney and sambar were tasteless and unappetizing. The tea was even worse, with an overpowering smell of stale tea powder and no balance of sugar.
Another family next to us ordered masala dosa, and to our surprise, the masala was filled with chunks of beetroot that were oddly large and hard, making the food completely inedible.
We raised our concerns with the cash collection staff but were met with indifference. They simply nodded and ignored our complaints. Despite pointing out the untouched food on our table, we were still charged the full bill.
This kind of subpar food and lack of accountability is unacceptable, especially during Sabarimala season when so many devotees from outside Kerala visit. Such experiences tarnish the reputation of Kerala’s famed hospitality and culture.
I urge the management to take immediate steps to improve the quality of food and customer service. Devotees and visitors deserve...
Read moreI recently dined at the Indian Coffee House near Guruvayoor Temple, and my experience was a mix of culinary satisfaction and service considerations. The masala dosa I ordered was delicious, featuring a flavorful blend of spices that added a delightful twist to the traditional dish.
However, the service left room for improvement. The staff seemed a bit slow and inattentive, affecting the overall dining experience. Timely service is crucial, especially in a popular eatery where patrons may be on a tight schedule due to their temple visits.
Despite the service lapse, the pleasant taste of the masala dosa and the cozy ambiance of the Indian Coffee House made the visit worthwhile. With a bit of attention to service efficiency, this eatery has the potential to offer an even more satisfying dining experience for visitors near...
Read moreI've never seen a restaurant fail so badly in all aspects and not leave a single scope for positive review. Very poor sense of cordiality towards their customers. The food they served has made us sick and we have to check with the doctor now.
Ghee dosa is basically full of dalda. (It's very bitter so you can easily tell the difference) And they recommend customers to eat stale food (unaware to the customer) they want to get rid off which they serve without asking them and then quietly levy extra charges if they eat it unknowingly thinking it's part of the dish.
I would suggest the FIO do a routine check to see if their kitchen uses quality oriented products for cooking or expired goods. This is a huge concern for...
