I had an extremely disappointing experience during my stay here, and I feel compelled to share the details to help others make an informed decision. The most significant issue was that the hotel’s website is highly misleading. The pictures showcased online depict a modern and well-maintained building, giving the impression that all rooms are of high quality. However, this is far from the truth, especially for non-AC rooms. What the website conveniently omits is that non-AC rooms are located in a completely separate building that bears no resemblance to the images advertised. This lack of transparency feels deceptive and unfair to customers.
The condition of the non-AC room was appalling. At first glance, the room seemed clean and adequately sized. However, it didn’t take long to discover the shocking reality—there were cockroaches and lizards everywhere. The presence of these pests made the stay incredibly uncomfortable and left me questioning the hygiene standards of the hotel. No matter how reasonably priced a room might be, such poor maintenance is simply unacceptable. It’s hard to relax or feel at ease in such an environment.
While the accommodation was a major letdown, I must acknowledge that the food at the on-site restaurant was decent. The meals were reasonably priced and offered good value for money, but unfortunately, a pleasant dining experience cannot compensate for the substandard living conditions.
The only other positive aspect of the hotel was its accessible location, which made commuting to nearby attractions convenient. However, accessibility alone doesn’t justify staying here when the overall experience is so unpleasant.
In conclusion, I would never consider staying here again, nor would I recommend it to others. Read moreI booked this hotel from Flipkart one day before the check-in, and the booking was confirmed instantly. I reached the hotel after traveling 200 Kms. At the reception before check-in they said that there was no such booking. I booked through Flipkart (ClearTrip their partner). That was much difficult to find another hotel at the late time.
How will a confirmed booking be automatically canceled without prior notification to the customer. Either Flipkart and ClearTrip sold the room to another person with a higher price or the hotel Nalanda Inn canceled our online booking and sold to another customer.
I contacted Flipkart and ClearTrip and they told me they can arrange an alternative hotel, and normally, we expect the same or higher standards for the alternative hotel. But when we visited there it was really a different picture. There was no parking, there was a local bar and drunken people were making disturbances, it was not suitable for a family stay. We left from there and not selected the second available low class hotel.
Anyways, this made it difficult to find another hotel, and it took away more than 2 hours of our time, and we lost the complete day because of this. Finally we took a hotel offline and the online booking made us really bad experience from this hotel.
