A Disappointing Decline in Quality at Aadhi Bhavan :

My recent visit to Aadhi Bhavan in Palakkad was, unfortunately, far from the pleasant dining experiences I once enjoyed when the establishment was known as Annalakshmi Grand. What was once a reliable spot for a satisfying meal has evidently undergone a change in management, and with it, a noticeable decline in both service and food quality.

The first red flag was the excruciating wait time. A simple order of Paneer Tikka took an unacceptable 45 minutes to arrive. When it finally did, it was clear that the kitchen was struggling. The Sambar, a dish that should be a comforting staple, was particularly disappointing—lacking flavor and depth.

The service, too, left much to be desired. Despite multiple attempts to get the attention of the waitstaff, they were conspicuously absent. Eventually, I had to rely on the floor manager to place an order for a mint lime juice. However, this too was delayed, taking over 15 minutes to reach the table, and only after I expressed my frustration and requested that the order be canceled.

The indifferent attitude of the floor manager only compounded the problem, making it clear that the current management is either overwhelmed or uninterested in maintaining the standards that once made this restaurant a local favorite.

In conclusion, Aadhi Bhavan has become a place I can no longer recommend. The significant decline in both service and food quality has turned what used to be an enjoyable dining experience into a frustrating and unsatisfactory ordeal. Patrons seeking a quality meal in Palakkad may want to...

I had tea and food one evening in July 2019 while I was in Palakkad suburbs. Annalakshmi Grand is a pure vegetarian restaurant on Calicut Bypass Road and opposite and close to a town bus stop in Palghat, Kerala.state, India. The restaurant has a great look from outside and has the name, "Four N Square Residency" on the actual building, when you look from the street side and before you enter.

Annalakshmi Grand is very chic and an ideal South Indian hotel. It's very spacious, hygienic and most importantly, it brings out the rave reviews with its yummy well cooked food served in all the Kerala traditional style, especially noteworthy with its exquisite presentation by means of the food served in a typical ela or a palm tree leaf, indigenous to Keralites.'

I had plain oothappam, which is served with coconut chutney and sambar, uzhunnu vada with coconut chutney and sambar which they once again serve you separate. I also ordered a nei roast or Ghee (Clarified butter) Roast (Dosa), besides hot tea. Everything is made fresh and served hot. The hospitality is great wth quick service and the restaurant was not crowded when I visited. They accept credit cards, apart from cash. The wash area could probably be enhanced. Worst service in palakkad. Worst option for dine in. I had a bad experience from the staff and management of adhi bhavan hotel palakkad, we went for dinner with family. The place was crowded when we went, after that they made us to arrange chair and table for us.The staffs was not at all co operative even the manage's behaviour was very bad.Their attitude was" if you want, you eat and go, nothing is gonna change here" . After taking orders they informed that we need to wait for 20 mins, but they made us to wait for 45 mins, it took 20 mins to serve water once. After that we asked for water again, they made us to wait for 15 mins again, even in tea shops we get better service than this. Regarding quality of food- average not upto the expectation. Quantity is very less we need to order atleast 2 plate of rice and a curry adjust. After that we ordered some cool drinks, that was also not worthy. In between we were calling the staffs for giving orders, they did not respond, even the manager saw us and he didn't even come to us. At the end when the bill came,it was nearly 6300 rupees bill, they billed for Gopi Manchurian which was not ordered..... after cross checking the bill we got to know about it. We told regarding this in billing section, they smiled at us and handled with a simple sorry....😃😃 I'll never recommend this restaurant to anyone... Very bad experience from Adhi...
