Imagine driving 4 hours to Lonavla all the way from bombay for one night to rest and get a good nights sleep after a hectic schedule of work and family, spending Rs 6,000/- on the most basic room and hotel and then being up the whole night.

We slept at 930pm after driving the whole afternoon. We were exhausted and had an early morning meeting the next day.

At 11pm we got up with a startle as the loud telephone rang in our room . It was a call from the restaurant manager asking us if we have eaten our dinner and that the kitchen would close so they wouldn’t entertain our order there after.

We were shocked and furious to be woken up from our deep sleep for this petty matter. We had never called the restaurant or enquired about anything so didn’t understand why they need to call every room to inform them about this at this odd hour.Turns out it is protocol and they do this to everyone.

Tried our best to fall asleep and after an hour as soon as we fell asleep we hear loud back to back firecrackers from the neighbouring villa , its supposedly “common” in this area . Note to self - AVOID ANY VILLA AND HOTEL NEAR TUNGARLI. There are rowdy bachelors who hire these villas for cheap and party the whole night.

Finally fell asleep at 1am. To be woken up with a startle at 3am as my wife who went to use the washroom didn’t just find one but two big cockroaches around the pot. After some commotion we got rid of them and tried to go back to bed.

It’s now 5am and we are up for our work. Feeling exhausted and not looking forward to the rest of our busy day. The hotel is a long standing property that is decently maintained with modern rooms but with all of these issues we are never coming back and never recommending this to our friends.

We brought up these issues In a very passive way with the management before our checkout and gave them a chance to fix things but after 10 mins of us explaining why all this was wrong we got a sorry and they said they would send a voucher for something (which we havent received 3 days later and doesn't make a...

A small property with Peacefull location. Rooms here are very untidy even the linens and pillow cover are also very dirty with stains. I was alloted room no 110, and it was full of mosquitoes and insects over there. I have to request them three times that it's not possible to stay here because we have a infant with us. They said our property is fully booked. After some time they gave us a new room which balcony opens to view of someone house. The staff here is good and. Polite . We called restaurant and asked for pizza which is basic food for now a time. They said we don't have, so we have ordered it from outside, and when zomato came they said outside food is not allowed, which was very ridiculous, that if u don't have and our kids want that only then should we convince our kid that pls eat whatever in hotel menu. I was surprised when I called for dental kit and comb and they said we don't have, sarovar portico is good brand I don't know how it is possible. Overall if u want to stay for a night it's a OK OK place. The pool was also very dirty. The exhaust in bathroom was not working after so many calls they replied we have to call technician. They also charge 1000+ taxes for infat extra bed , which...

Small congested place. Avoid it if you want to relax. Breakfast has limited options. Services are not prompt. Swimming pool is only for kids. No greenery. Small rooms. Wall has patches and holes. The conference room is outside hotel and you have go walk there, outside the hotel in another building. The swimming pool is useful only for kids under 5-6 years. Food too was not that good and had to eat salad most of the times. No place for walk or play inside the hotel. I have visited many Sarovar Portico hotels and had good experiences but this one was the worst. Parking space too is limited. Should be avoided if you can get a better place in the Same budget. Hoping they would work on improving the services.

A boutique hotel close to Lonavala main market. Limited rooms but well equipped and gives you all the basic plus comforts. They have 2 category of rooms with a deluxe and a duplex depending upon the need. The food is acceptable and have some options but service is a real challenge. Staff not greatly skilled and will need to be trained hard for service n standards. The Manager Shardul Dikshit a fine gentleman who does his bit to make things happen. HK services are decent. Linens and rooms are clean. Relatively a new property and good for groups. No major facilities. A small pool and no garden or public area.
