Disappointing Experience at Treebo Hotel During My Move to Pune
I recently moved to Pune and my first experience with a local Treebo Hotel was far from welcoming. The ordeal began with a frustrating attempt to reach Treebo's customer service. A minimum of five minutes on hold was required just to speak with a representative, a wait time that I found to be excessive.
Prior arrangements had been made for early check-in, which customer service had assured me would be communicated to the hotel. However, when I requested the hotel reception's contact number, my request was flatly denied. Upon arrival at the hotel at 10 a.m., I was met with a staff that was not only unaware of the early check-in policy but also discourteously demanded extra charges for it, despite the policy clearly stating that check-ins two hours prior are free of charge. This forced me to contact Treebo customer care once more to resolve the issue.
The room itself was a letdown. Advertised at 150 sqft, the Standard room was so cramped that maneuvering my medium-sized trolley bag was a struggle. While the room featured two cupboards, they were rendered useless by the lack of space to even open their doors, as the bed obstructed them. The promised desk and chair were also a disappointment; although a table was present, there was no space for a chair.
Surprisingly, the bathroom was disproportionately large compared to the room, which was puzzling given the limited living space. When I raised concerns about the room size with customer care, they oddly included the bathroom in the total square footage, a calculation that defies logic given the unnecessary size of the bathroom for such a small room.
The check-out process was no less troublesome. I unintentionally took the room key with me, which went unnoticed by the staff. Upon realizing the mistake, I offered to have the key collected from my office, a mere 300 meters away from the hotel, only to be met with more rudeness and refusal.
My experience leads me to believe that Treebo is not upholding the standards it should be, particularly in terms of hotel maintenance and customer interaction. At the very least, customers deserve to be treated with decency and respect, a basic expectation that, unfortunately, was not met during my stay.
In summary, my experience with the Treebo Hotel in Pune was a woeful introduction to the city's hospitality, marked by poor customer service, inadequate facilities, and a general lack of courtesy from the...
