Editing this review once again Two years have passed, again I visited Rameshwaram and I could not forget the horrific experience I had in year 2022. In last two years I have travelled so many places in Tamil Nadu, Kerela and Karnataka, this has to be my worst booking ever made.. Please note- Never book this hotel, no matter how much discount they are providing.
**Prev part If you are looking to stay in this hotel just go through all the negative reviews. If this is the last hotel in Rameshwaram then cancel your plan to Rameshwaram.. One thing I must inform all the travellers that after the tussle mentioned below, me and my family were followed by the hotel staffs till the gate and they kept on staring, untill we hired an auto and went away, as if, "let's see where do u go".. Previously I thought, from where do their staff getting so much strength, now after going through the reviews and reply by the Owner, I learnt he keeps encouraging his staffs. According to owner every negative review is fabricated and all the positive reviews are true🤗 (those must be paid one).
13/08/2022 Workers over here are third class and if you are north Indian and do not know Tamil, and by mistake one Hindi word comes out, U will be outrageously interrupted and asked to speak only Tamil or English.. They will maintain there 12 Pm to 11am timings, you won't be given even 30 minutes early check-in, even if the rooms are vacant and even if you are with your senior citizen parents.. So make sure that if you book this hotel, then your train should arrive at Rameshwaram station at exactly 11:00AM.. I wonder tourism industry people were crying during Covid times that they were going through worst phase. Tourism industry flourishing because of tourists but they won't treat tourists decently. Please Note that they didn't even repay my advance amount.. Your staff accepted that rooms are vacant but they won't allow since they are maintaining 12-11 timing. Moreover, the day when I accepted your 12 Pm check in timing, I didn't knew about the adverse situation that my family will be facing on the day of arrival. And please check your CCTV, I waited for nearly 20 minutes in your premises, requesting for the 1 room atleast. Only when I was rudely replied to my request, I left the premises.. Your refund won't compensate to the harrasment which I faced.. And I am sure that you would have definitely got booking for these cancelled dates ( that's my whole point, that I was in need and not you ) And regarding language issue, whatever I said, is true...
Read morei am sharing my experience of staying at hotel blue coral so that others may drive their conclusion and make informed decision. Initially we had plans of staying at Ramnathpuram while on route to Rameshwaram in train journey but our train terminated at Madapam station as pamban bridge was not functional. So in last minute change we have decided to stay at Hotel Blue coral at RMM even after so many negative reviews as one of incidents. The hotel is near to bathing area (Agneetirtham), having ample open area with sand for kids to play around but no its own restaurant and only normal in service (Rs 2000 per room). After stay of two days, we asked Mr. Ibrahim (Manager) to arrange a bus for us (for 13 people) so that we can go kanyakumari then to Tirvantpuram and return to Madurai for catching our train. This is was supposed to most wrong decision of us to let him arrange a vehicle rather talking directly to vehicle provider. In name of big rush, we could only get non AC bus with 5 hrs delay, that too with very rash driver (Naseer) with whooping cost of Rs 36000. We paid advance of Rs 10000 to Mr. Ibrahim. On reaching kanyakumari via road, our many of elderly people got ill and they were not in position to travel ahead. Also we are told by driver that Trivantpuram is not part of itinerary and need to paid extra for it for bus service. So next morning, we requested the driver to go back, as we dropped plans to go further in Non AC vehicle. But the driver Naseer started behaving aggressively and started asking money first 15000, then 19000 and then 23000. This man Ibrahim also sided with driver and asked us to make him payment of 23000, taking excuse that he is only facilitator. Finally we had involve local taxi persons at kankyakumari and with their intervention the Driver Naseer agreed to take Rs 11000 (Total Rs 21000) and we managed to get him off. After getting payments the driver Naseer told us that Rs 5000 was cut money for Mr. Ibrahim and he would have to pay him. This way Mr. Ibrahim of Hotel Blue Coral was playing both sides and duping the very tourist on whom his hotel earnings are based. Read moreMe and wife were in Rameshwaram for 1.5 days to visit beaches, temple and for snorkeling. We choose this hotel after TA’s feedback and on discussion with hotel owner Jeyaram. Hotel is very close to Rameshwaram Temple and still very clean and peaceful place. Plenty of space is available for parking or playground for children. We reached in there at 4 in morning and they welcome us with smile. In morning I talked with Jeyaram and he gave us detail information about place and how I can manage my trip over there. A day before our check-in I asked him for snorkeling and he arranged it for us. Whatever I was requesting to him or his management team, there were happily attending that. Rooms are very clean with all basic facility. It's a warm, friendly, safe, and relaxing place to stay.
My main interest was to watch Danushkodi beach + village and Jeyaram gave me all travel option. When Jeyaram got to know that we are on our anniversary trip and celebrating anniversary in Rameshwaram, Then he arranged 1 large cake and invited all other guest in the evening for celebration. It was big surprise for us. All French, Italian, Maldives and Indian couple/family joined us. We spend really good time with them and that happened b’cos of Jeyaram. Even though they serve food on request, I told owner that would like to have dinner in Daiwik restaurant and he arranged vehicle for us. He also told to driver to wait near Daiwik restaurant till they finish their dinner. Hotel doesn’t have restaurant but if you gave 2-3 hours advance notice then he can arrange the food. No doubt why this hotel have more than 125 positive (Good and excellent) feedback reviews on TA. Overall BCC have excellent service, clean room, nice location close to sea and temple and friendly staff.
