Shamiaana The SitOut Place — Restaurant in Pune

Shamiaana is a terrace style rest-bar. The crowd that visits this place is often aware of the what to expect.

Observations during my visit: Pros: The place is clean. The staff is helpful and the food tastes good. The warm ambience. The staff is accommodating. We requested for a cake that we got to be kept in the fridge. This was done happily. They even got the cake to us with a candle upon indicating it's time. There's a projector that has a music channel playing songs to ensure they don't play something that doesn't match the vibe. Sadly, if you're not there for the alcohol mainly, this isn't your music. 🥲 😅 (no harm done though). It's not too loud so it's all good. There are separate washrooms highlighted with LED boards. If you had too much fluids, you know where to rush.

Cons: The table was slightly soiled. Bad lighting. The table was probably missed being cleaned due to the dim lighting that add to the ambience of this place. The dim lighting compliments the feel of being under the open sky and on the terrace. The instructions to visit this place isn't clear. We struggled to identify where to park and how to enter this facility. There is no dedicated parking. It's more of a find your own spot and deal with it. Hope nobody scratched the car. With open terraces there is a chanc for bugs. Expect mosquitoes, but that's not a major issue. They do have mosquito repellent coils that cause some discomfort. If you have dust allergy, here's a heads up. Carry a mosquito repellent, or succumb to your deeds. When we asked them to keep a cake we got in the refrigerator, they seemed to have kept it in a fridge that had a log of moisture. The box was soggy and had soaked water. I'm glad that it held itself together when we carried it home. Due to the dim lighting, it is sometimes difficult for the waiters to realise that you may need attention. It took us some time to get our order taken. But once we had our orders taken, it wasn't too difficult to flag someone down for anything we needed. Although you can reserve tables on zomato and or shows a discount of flat 50%, when you try to pay via zomato gold, the payment isn't accepted by the restaurant. This is the perfect place for you if are a night owl. The place to go to for really scrumptious food at 3 o clock in the morning as it's open till like 5 o clock in the morning. Yes such a place exists so don't worry about finding a restaurant open at that late you will get it here!!!!! The Ambience is pretty simple nothing too fancy except some shamianas and pretty simple sitting but come onnnnn that late night I would just need my food on my table so this place serves the purpose. 2. Aatishi Aloo My favorite thing which has aloo and cheese inside it 😍

Non Veg Starters :

1. Chicken Kalimiri Kebab - Melt in mouth tikkas packing flavors of black pepper and kali mirch

2. Cheesy Chicken Kebab Cant say no to chicken and cheese 😍

Mains -

1. Paneer Kadai Medium spicy gravy goes perfectly with naan as well as rice 🍚.

Non Veg :

1. Chicken Musallam This is like butter chicken

2. Rara Chicken Thick chicken gravy spices up with whole red chillies and cardamon. I personally would suggest to have it with cheese garlic Naan 😍.

Those are the can't go wrong dishes one would try here.

If you are looking for a place to chill out eith friends and have good food then Shamiaana is the one who open till 5am. The place is always crowdy and saturday sunday waiting is there. The ambience is big and there is few shamiaana inside you can have and enjoy your food. Other tables are rooftop.

The food is was also good.

We tried Peri Peri Corn crispy : Little oliy but taste was good Veg Crispy : mix veg with gobi, mushroom. Taste was good.

Chicken kalimiri kabab: The kabab was tasty and propery coocked with spices Cheese chicken kabab : kabab was tasty and spicy and cheese topping were awsome. In main course we had Paneer kadai and Paneer Lababdar bothe curry were tasty and good quantity.

In non veg we had Murg Musallam and Rara chicken bothe dishesh was tasty and quantity was so good can 3-5people will have it. Overall good...
