I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at JD Grand for a friend's wedding, and I must say it was an utter disappointment from start to finish. Despite booking the entire hotel for this special occasion, the level of service and the condition of the rooms were shockingly subpar. I feel compelled to share my experience to help others make more informed decisions.
First and foremost, the cleanliness of the rooms was appalling. Upon entering our assigned rooms, we were greeted by filth and untidiness that was simply unacceptable. It was evident that the hotel had not prioritized basic housekeeping tasks, as we encountered stained carpets, dusty surfaces, and even burnt curtains. The overall lack of maintenance was alarming, with broken side tables, missing TV units, and malfunctioning AC units. The entire atmosphere was far from the pleasant ambiance we had expected for such a special occasion.
Moreover, the absence of basic consumables was a recurring issue throughout our stay. We were constantly reminded of the hotel's negligence as we had to repeatedly request essentials like toiletries and fresh towels. Even the most fundamental provisions were not provided without our explicit reminders and complaints. This lack of attention to detail and basic customer service was both frustrating and disappointing.
Additionally, the hotel staff demonstrated a concerning lack of professionalism and responsiveness. We found ourselves constantly having to remind them of tasks that should have been completed without our intervention. For instance, the absence of latches on the bathroom doors compromised our privacy and caused unnecessary discomfort. The lack of hot water was another inconvenience that disrupted our plans and added unnecessary stress to an already busy wedding schedule.
Considering the magnitude of the event and the fact that we had booked the entire hotel, we expected a higher level of service and attention. Unfortunately, our experience at JD fell far short of our expectations. It is disheartening to witness such disregard for customer satisfaction and the inability to deliver on even the most basic standards of hospitality.
In conclusion, I would strongly advise against considering JD for any special occasions or even regular stays. The combination of filthy rooms, lack of basic consumables, unresponsive staff, and a general disregard for customer satisfaction left a lasting negative impression on our entire wedding party. I hope that by sharing my experience, others can avoid the disappointment and frustration we endured during our stay.
Hotel management, please take note of these concerns and take immediate steps to rectify the issues we have highlighted. Your guests deserve better, and it is crucial to prioritize cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service to regain trust and uphold...
Read moreMy recent 2-day stay at Hotel J.D Grand ( Next to Gurmehar Residence= Same owner both both )was extremely disappointing. Here's a summary of the issues I encountered:
No TV Connection: The TV in my room was non-functional throughout my stay. No Gas Geyser: There was no gas geyser, making it impossible to have a hot shower. No Water Supply: The water supply was unreliable, creating significant inconvenience. AC Issues: The AC connection was deliberately turned off by the manager every morning for reasons unknown to me. Lack of Basic Amenities: There were no blankets, and the telephone in the room was dead, rendering it impossible to contact hotel services. Poor Cleanliness: The overall cleanliness of the hotel was subpar.
The funniest yet most frustrating aspect was the attitude of the staff. Normally, one would expect to address complaints with the receptionist or manager. However, the manager admitted that he hadn't received his salary and thus refused to address any issues. Even if you wanted to complain, he would direct you to contact the owner directly.
Additionally, the hotel seems to rely on taxi drivers who scam customers by bringing them to the hotel under false pretenses. Once you book the room, the driver leaves quickly after receiving their commission.
This was the worst service I have ever experienced. I strongly urge everyone to avoid this scam of a hotel. The staff, including the owner's son, showed a complete lack of respect and professionalism. His immature behavior and lack of respect for senior guests were appalling, regardless of his branded clothes.
A piece of advice for him: maturity and professionalism are not measured by your attire but by your behavior and respect for others.

Except than proximity to golden temple (around 500 mts), there is nothing positive in hotel. Rooms are quite smaller, double bed size is comfortable for one person only. Quality of bed mattress is very poor which is sufficient to give one backache. Services are very poor & never try their food as they provide outside food on escalated prices. Reception guy named Krishna who is behaving like roadside pocket maar who is only interested in taking advance money at the time of check in, as they know no one will stay in their hotel after spending few minutes.
