Raghunandan Residency — Hotel in Puri

Nice & good rooms at affordable price. You can check from Photos. Location is a great postive here. It's only 150 Meters from the Beach and 900 meters from Shri Jagannath Temple and both are at a walking distance. Golden Beach is at a distance of 1-1.5KM & Blue Flag Beach is 2-2.5KM. It's situation close to Chaitanya Chhaka (Square) which is just before Swargadwara. But the only problem is parking here. You can't paro 4 wheeler here and 2 wheeler parking is a matter of luck. If more no of guests are there then there might chance that parking may not be available as it's exact situation in lane inside a lane. You can always fetch a Auto or Toto (Battery powered 2 vehicles like a small auto), Mo Bus service as well as other bus service directly from the main road when you walk near to beach like I said about 150 meters from hotel. Other than that all essential amenities are available at this hotel. Both AC & Non-AC rooms are available. But total no of rooms are very less. To be exact total 8 or 9 rooms. It costs ₹800-₹900 for Non-Ac & ₹1000-₹1200 for AC rooms. For any extra person you can also get a mattress at the cost of extra ₹200 which is a pretty good option. In AC rooms they have one extra variety of room which may cost more as it accomodates 4 people & there would two double beds in that room. This is the price in a off-season, there might be fluctuations during seasons like just before or during Rath Yatra, etc. But the main advantage of this is it's location & very good rooms at budget price. Rooms are of a 2.5 or 3 Star hotel standard. This property owner Mr. Nrusingha Charan Sarangi (or Sarangi bhaina as he is fondly called) is very a good person and he will help you in any aspect. Water bottles will be delivered to your rooms directly. They have free wifi too. In the morning they will offer you tea (charges extra ₹10 or something). No food is available at the hotel. But Swiggy/Zomato services are available and even you can bring food from outside. As it's very close to beach & main road there wouldn't be any problem related to food as wide variety of options are available. Apart from that the lane in which hotel is situated you will find many small small carts selling food, small hotels as well as good restaurants. Check-in & Check-out time is 8AM-7AM respectively.

PS: Views are completely from my personal experience recently. I have booked the room not through any online travel portal or app rather calling him directly (Offline mode you can say). So prices may vary (more most probably) in apps like Oyo,...

I am here with a new review on Raghunandan Residency from my own experience.

I have sharing all the details through below points.

Pros :

Hotel location is good and easy to find through Google Map otherwise you may face difficulties to find the hotel. Near to sea beach. Walking distance ( 500 mtrs ) from sea beach. Hotel staff and owner are very friendly, helpful and polite. At the front desk you will find sofa for resting. Check-in and Check-out processes are fast and easy. Room size is okay and perfectly managed with all amenities. All the rooms are Air conditioned. Bathroom has narrow space but it was cleaned properly. Wifi facility available with limited speed internet which was already mentioned by property during booking. According to my experience speed was okay. Unmarried couples are allowed to stay without any hassle. Cash, UPI payments available here. I faced an issue with AC in my first room. Immediately they transferred me to another room without any further question which is a great hospitality behaviour. Own resturant not available so you can bring outside food or can order online. You will get disposable paper plates outside the hotel as small market available beside the hotel.

Cons :

Parking space not available for atleast two wheelers. If you are coming without any vehicle then this is the best hotel to stay. Not found card payment facility there. Location was little difficult to find due to presence in a narrow lane.

What you have to take care of : If you are coming by any vehicle then you will face difficulties for parking.
