We were so excited while entering in this palace. It was our dream to live like 'Raja-Maharaja' atleast for a day! We asked security to call some one to pick our luggage and no one came for it. Finally we carried with our own, sadly no one was there to welcome us till reception. After couple of minutes Mr. Vikrant aproached to complete the formalities to checked in, they also offered welcome drink. After 10mins we have been alloted ' palace room' as per our booking. With ao much expectations we opened first door of room and it was small open area before the room ( we felt more excited to see main room), then we entered in our room and it was big disappoiment!
Main room : Its just a very small room with queen size bed, hardly any space to move there, room furniture looks very old and does not contain the quality of a star hotel.
After entering i realised that 3 items were missing from the fridge. ( so kindly cross check it to avoid further misunderstandings.
Bathroom : wash basin, english commode, small bath tub with shower attached on top. 2 towels, one bathrobe, 2 napkins were provided. There is a extra mirror in front of commode. Weighing scale is also availble.
We requested Mr. Vikrant to allot any better option as oer the availability of any room, we were also ready to pay more for better room. He told us to apporoach 'MAKE MY TRIP' to give room in any other hotel as all the rooms were booked. ( its 9 pm at that time). Finally we decided to stay here to avoid spoiling our trip. We found there were so many empty rooms.
FOOD : food was tasty but waiters were looking so serious with their looks and attitude. They were not giving options to select your food. Also you need to keep ask them that what are included in dinner package( as we booked our room with food) You will not get sweets untill u demand for it.
Morning Breakfast : menu : 2 juices, 3-4 types dryfruits, fruits, chocos, cornflakes with cold milk, small kachori, sev. Also we had to order as per the menu. We orderd : poha, puri bhaji, chocolate milk shake, strawberry milkshake, masala dosa. I must say breakfast was so average they used too much turmeric in Poha and Potato veg(for dosa)... I wonderd why They havent used coriander in both items. Then we move ahead to se other part of palace and surprise to see that we have to take ticket to visit other part of this palace. Managemet has taken some part of this palace to run the business and every guest has to purchase ticket. Finally we decided to do check out to explore other part of Udaipur. Thank you. Managment : please keep trained staff as customers are coming with so high expectations ( by paying 2-3 times higher charges than other star hotels) Atleast give liberty to gustes to see entire palace...
Read moreTo begin with, a property of your stature should have well-trained and highly courteous upper management, something that was completely missing. Your bell boys and servers are more amicable and presentable. The room was in an abhorrent condition, with stained corners, dysfunctional air conditioners and a view overlooking a tree with over hundred bats. We decided to keep mum and to distract ourselves, went on a boat ride to Lake Pichola. Your reception staff assured us a golf cart to and fro the boating place, and yet, post our ride, we were left waiting. 3 carts crossed us during our wait where we vehemently waved our identity card to display that we are resident guests at Shiv Niwas, but the drivers ignored, and brushed us aside with an air of attitude. Two of these drivers had seen us in the property an hour before this incident so we don’t think that being unrecognisable was the issue, there impoliteness was. When we requested the manager to meet with us to discuss these issues, he said he is going out of town and has just left the hotel. We requested him to come back for five minutes but clearly his ten minutes of extra travel is more precious than the thousands of rupees we spent on this terrible experience. As a redressal offered by him virtually, as well as your other staff, my husband was ambushed with four calls when he said he’s at the bar, and will speak to them soon. What followed was us being shifted to another room of the same category (when the least you could have done was an upgrade honestly). The room was definitely larger with a tree-free view of the beautiful lake, but - we were welcomed with a broken bathroom door, dirty washroom corners, an extension board in the name of plugs and non concealed wire frames. We were also offered a bottle of wine, thanks for that, but I don’t think alcohol is the solution here. When a guest checks into a hotel of your stature, handled by a royal family, the least we expect is luxury. We understand that restored heritage properties come with the challenge of limited architectural scope, so rustic is acceptable, but rubble isn’t. During the afternoon, our nap is disturbed by labourers at work. At your restaurant, the menu is highly limited and we were told that only 3 dishes - manchurian, chilly paneer and noodles can be made apart from the mentioned choices. These three dishes were no doubt well cooked, but the least a guest can ask from a five star property is dietary flexibility. We asked if a tandoori mushroom or aloo can be made since tandoori paneer was mentioned but even...
Read moreBIG FRAUD WITH US 😓 Review of Panghat Spa By Kaashi Wellness Spa
Beware Of Kaashi Wellness Spa, presently running unprofessional business in the name of Panghat Spa & Salon both at Shiv Niwas Palace and Jagmandir Island Palace, Udaipur. I am a professional male spa therapist joined this company on 1st September,2022 and was forced to leave within one month. My two male colleagues namely, Laxman Rathod and Prashant Mohanty, along with me (Siddhartha Chatterjee) joined this place and was forced to leave because of severe mental trauma inflicted on us by the company HR namely Rumita Gupta and the owner Neha Ahuja. But this Rumita is much worse and is just like a puppet of the owner. She used to appoint staff without providing any appointment letter or job offer letter and harass them just like anything. She asked three of us to join immediately within two days but when we reached Udaipur, we noticed that the spa setup was incomplete and they appointed us to set it up by us. At that time, therapies had not started and she throwed us just after completion of the heavy task without paying anything. That was not all of it. Just before the day we left, on the previous night she instructed the accommodation owner not to let us in and we spent the whole night outside of our room. They took our company uniform and I'd cards also. The next morning we somehow managed to leave with a shocking memory of the nightmare. Now they are running unprofessional business with only the female therapists from Bhutan and Northeast of India. Now you people decide that it was a justice or injustice with us? Should they run their business like this only at the cost of others' tears and harassment? I am writing just as a precaution message to all the professionals who are still searching for job as well as for other guests also who will/are going to visit this place in future. Please support us 🙏Thank you so much....
