First and foremost the best thing about the hotel is the staff. Everyone is friendly and helpful, and we were check in to ensure we were happy and comfy on multiple occasions, almost to a point where we it was getting too much. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff had made note of that to wish happy birthday and even surprised us with a massive birthday cake. It was too much for 2 people and arrived poorly timed when we weren’t hungry but we are very thankful for the kind gesture. The hotel is smart with an impressive entrance hall, albeit there are signs of the hotel getting a little bit tired. The room (we were in an executive room) was nice and generously sized although we didn’t have the best view which overlooked a building side. Nonetheless, we slept comfortably. Our lobby landing outside the lift often smelt like cigarette smoke. We couldn’t find the cause but it was off putting but wasn’t there on our last day. The pool, strategically photographed looks amazing but sits next to the main road so it is difficult to enjoy a peaceful relaxing moment. There is very few sunbeds. It also smelt of sewage and polluted from the road which eventually got too much that we just went back to our room. I was surprised that the pool attendant did not offer a poolside drinks service. It’s not something we wanted at the time, but is the norm for a hotel where customer service is important to them. The restausants; breakfast is very much standard buffet as you get at most hotels. It was good, no complaints. We had lunch at the pavilion, opted for the menu as opposed to the buffet option. Our food was fine for a lunch but nothing special. We also ate at Yi Jing and Dakshin, which are internal restaurants. I have reviewed them separately. We prefer Daksin but our best meals were outside the hotel. In searching for a restaurants, we asked multiple times for recommendations and were told to go to the food market inside the shopping mall nearby which is walkable. We were a bit disappointed the concierge were not more clued up about where the best restaurants to go to were. The small was a bit uninspiring when we wanted to experience Delhi’s food scene. We ended up doing our own research. We found a restaurant (Olive Bar & Kitchen -really good) and couldn’t get a reservation online as it said it was fully booked. Concierge contacted them directly and managed to get us a table that night. They also organised a cab for us. The cab driver tried to charge us 500 rupees for a 9 minute cab journey. We got him down to 350 rupees which we were told was the “foreigner price”. Our cab back after dinner through Uber was 170 rupees. I am not suggesting the Sheraton has anything to do with the cab price they ordered but we realised that booking yourself is cheaper. During our visit the spa was closed for renovations as was the gym so they had a smaller make shift gym made up. We didn’t use it this time but it was enough for what we needed. The security is very good. Friendly but very strict in their checks. Overall I would recommend this hotel but minor...
Read moreOverall, we had a pretty good stay at the Sheraton New Delhi hotel. The hotel makes a strong first impression with its elegant presentation and especially the beautiful flower arrangements in the lobby, which give the space a very welcoming feel. The service overall was excellent—the staff was attentive and listened to our requests. Special thanks to Anurag and Rahul who carried out a lot of our concerns. Here are some pros and cons.
Pros: -The lounge was fantastic, and the evening snacks and drinks were absolutely delightful. -The dinner buffet was amazing with plenty of delicious choices, and the hotel overall felt very comfortable. -The hotel was very well organized and decorated. -The staff was very kind and listened to many of our requests. -Anurag went above and beyond to make our stay memorable—on request, he upgraded our room to a suite, allowed us a late checkout since we had a late flight, and even arranged for the staff to give us a thoughtful gift as a farewell gesture. -Rahul made our dinner buffet experience truly wonderful and ensured we had a great evening, especially after our breakfast experience had been disappointing due to the crowd and slower service. He also helped us in looking for our lost luggage. -Shweta being an intern went above and beyond to provide us great service at the breakfast buffet. For example, we requested paratha at breakfast and even though the buffet was closing she went to the kitchen to get us a paratha which was very sweet and nice of her.
Cons: -On our first morning, breakfast service struggled due to how crowded it was. We completely understand it was a busy day, but it ended up taking about 20–25 minutes just to get water, which was frustrating. -At check-in, the welcome wasn’t as warm or personal as we would have expected, especially given our Platinum status. While everything was handled smoothly, it lacked that extra touch of recognition that makes elite guests feel valued. -The hotel helped us in looking for our lost luggage, a little extra support would have really helped us find our lost luggage. As an example, they did not call the police on our behalf, which would have been a crucial step. -The camera coverage at the front entrance is limited and doesn’t provide a clear enough view of vehicles. This became a problem when we lost our luggage in an autorickshaw, and better 360-degree cameras could have improved both guest security and overall experience. -There is a very strong and unpleasant urine smell next to the hotel near the back exit, which really takes away from the otherwise elegant and welcoming environment. This is something that needs to be...

I had a quick visit to India, having some work in the Saket district , New Delhi. I found The Sheraton to be an ideal hotel for this purpose due to its suitable location, the good food, the luxurious rooms and yet reasonable prices. It’s located in the heart of the Saket district and it was easy to go to various business places in the Saket area. The hotel has a good fleet of cars and the staff at the desk are quite knowledgeable so they can give the best advise on how to go to the various places. In my case what seemed like a “walkable” place on the map , the staff suggested that I take a car/taxi/uber considering the weather and traffic conditions. 🤔 Good thing I listened and took an Uber otherwise I’d be sweating bricks walking around in the hot weather and searching for the place. 😅
The room was luxurious with all sorts of amenities that one may need. It was fairly large room with a Kings bed and plenty of storage space. 👍 The Aircon responded quite well to any changes I made in the temperature, this resulting a good night’s sleep 😴. We all know how the centralized Aircons in various hotels around the world can sometimes have a mind of their own and do not respond accurately to what temp. the guests may set. 😂 But no such problems in my room at the Sheraton.
For the Food- I had the Breakfast Buffet at the restaurant downstairs and once ordered a meal for dinner. The Breakfast buffet had enough varieties - an eclectic mix of traditional Indian dishes as well as the standard western dishes. Given that I had to leave for my work soon, I just dumped both types of dishes in one serving as one can see in the pic 😛 😋. The Medu Vada, Idli, Poori Bhaji were all so tasty that I almost thought to stay longer and eat more of them 😊. As for the sausages (chicken and pork) as well as the bacon… well breakfast wouldn’t be complete without them so I had a good serving of those too. 😋 For the other meal at the room, I had ordered the Mutton Rogan Josh and a Dum Biryani. The mutton was excellent , with the meat coming off the bone so easily! And the biryani was came in the traditional seal made with baked flour which locked in all the amazing flavors 😋! A great choice for room service meal. Well, that’s it for the short n quick trip. Would look forward to have a longer stay at the Sheraton on a...
