Highly Dissatisfied Experience at Apple Store Saket, Delhi
I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the experience I recently had at the Apple Store in Saket, Delhi, India.
On 20th August, I purchased a brand-new iPhone 14 Plus 128 GB Yellow from JB Hi-Fi in Melbourne, Australia, intending to gift it to my father for Father's Day, which is on 3rd September. Unfortunately, upon my arrival in India on the 22nd, we discovered a manufacturing defect: the sealing foam on the left side of the back panel was protruding.
I promptly contacted Apple Support Australia, who advised me to visit the nearest Apple Store, emphasizing that Apple provides worldwide support.
On the 23rd, I reached out to Apple Support again to request an appointment at the Apple Store in Saket, Delhi, India, which was scheduled for 3:30 PM IST.
At the store, a representative named Shruti examined the phone and informed me that "Apple has no policy of replacement in India" and that, since I had purchased the phone from a reseller, it could only be repaired, not replaced. I was taken aback, as it had been just two days since the purchase, and I hadn't even registered the device online. However, they refused replacement and questioned why I hadn't opened the box earlier. I explained that it was intended as a gift, and presenting someone with an opened box was not feasible. Nevertheless, they insisted on repair.
Reluctantly, I agreed to the repair, as I had already spent nearly an hour at the store and was told there were no other options. Meanwhile, my brother in Australia contacted Apple Support repeatedly. Their senior representative, Andy, asked to speak to someone at the store.
This is when my situation took a turn for the worse. Most of the store representatives seemed uncomfortable speaking in English. One rushed to find the store manager, Tokayu, who reluctantly got on the line. To my astonishment, he told Andy that they could replace the phone (in stark contrast to Shruti's statement) but claimed the phone was already in the repair process. He wiggled his eyebrows at his colleague, who quickly retrieved the phone, claiming it was repaired within ten minutes while Tokayu continued talking to Andy.
Afterward, they informed me that they couldn't replace the phone since it had already been repaired and advised me to go to Australia for a replacement, as such a policy didn't exist in India.
My encounter with Tokayu was the worst part of this ordeal. He suggested I ship the iPhone to Australia at my own expense for replacement, despite having earlier told Andy that it could be replaced. As I sought Tokayu out, he evaded me, retreating to the back of the store.
Upon Andy's request, I reluctantly accepted the repaired phone, although I was informed by Tokayu that shipping it to Australia would solve my issue. I must add that Andy also seemed dissatisfied with Tokayu's response during our conversation.
I am deeply disheartened by the unprofessionalism and lack of willingness to assist customers, qualities one would not expect from a newly opened Apple official store in India, particularly from the store manager, Tokayu. It appears that the store representatives are uncertain about Apple's policies and rely on personal beliefs rather than adhering to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI want to share the HORRIBLE, TRAUMATIZING experience I had at @Apple Saket. I went in to get my iPhone repaired because it kept randomly blacking out, and what I went through there was beyond words.
I met the manager, Guri, who handed my case over to Mayank. After running diagnostics, they confirmed it was a hardware issue (logic board), not physical damage. I signed paperwork confirming I wouldnāt need to pay a single rupee since the problem was covered under warranty.
To make this clear: I was READY to pay ā¹8,900 (the AppleCare deductible) for a repair. I spent over ā¹1,50,000 on my iPhone 14 Pro with over ā¹20,000 in AppleCare specifically because Iāve had issues with my previous phones. Why would I risk tampering with it? I trusted Apple. I trusted this store.
They told me my phone would be ready by 7 PM, but I dropped it off at 3:30 PM, and when I returned at 5:30 PM, they told me it was ready for pickup. After waiting for 15 minutes, a technician came up and told me they had found āunauthorized modificationsā in my phone. They showed me a photo of a fingerprint inside the phone. I was SHOCKED, SPEECHLESS. I kept telling them thereās no way this could be true, this phone was bought brand new from Apple Galleria in Dallas, Texas. I never had a single issue with it and never needed to repair it!
I asked them, why would I risk opening up my phone when Iām paying for AppleCare to avoid these problems?! They didnāt care. They shut me down, didnāt listen to a word I said, and ignored my desperate pleas. I told them this had to have happened because of the negligence of the technician. After every desperate attempt, I was ready to just leave.
Then, the worst part: when they returned my phone to me, it was even WORSE than before. Now, it restarts by itself every 2 minutes, and Iām left with NOTHING. This is APPLEāhow could this happen?! I have no phone. I canāt work. I canāt communicate. I canāt even get in touch with my family. Iām completely disconnected.
I turned to the manager, Guri, in tears, telling him that they had broken my phone and returned it in an unusable condition. His response? āMaāam, trust me, itās only going to get worse.ā I couldnāt believe it. Now my phone is a useless brick, and on top of that, theyāve VOIDED MY APPLECARE. Iām completely screwed.
I reached out to a few friends, and they said, āWhy would you even go to @Apple Saket? Theyāre known for shady business practices and never helping anyone.ā They were right. These people are nothing but smooth talkers, heartless, careless, and completely indifferent to the fact that Iām now phoneless and without any support.
I donāt know what to do anymore. Iām reaching out to share this because I need help, and I need someone to hear me. This experience has been a nightmare. Iām lost without my phone, and I feel...

I recently visited the Apple Store at Saket in Select City Walk Mall, New Delhi, and it was quite an experience. The store is a sleek, modern space that screams Appleās premium vibe. Hereās my take on the good, the not-so-good, and the overall feel of the visit.
The Good
The storeās design is a standoutāopen, minimalistic, with warm wooden textures and a clean layout that makes browsing a joy. Every Apple product, from iPhones to MacBooks, HomePods to AirPods, is displayed hands-on, letting you explore freely. The staff is a major highlight. Most employees I interacted with were friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help. One staff member, Priya, patiently answered my questions about the new MacBook Air and even guided me through some accessory options. The Today at Apple sessions, presented in a roundtable format, looked engaging, though I didnāt attend one. The store was buzzing with energy, and the seamless checkout process made my purchase quick and hassle-free. The Genius Bar setup for support and the expansive product demos added to the premium experience. Plus, amenities like Wi-Fi, parking, and wheelchair accessibility make it convenient for everyone.
The Not-So-Good
That said, there were a few hiccups. The wait times can be frustrating, especially if you donāt have an appointment. I noticed some customers waiting longer than expected, and the staff seemed a bit stretched during peak hours. One employee I approached seemed distracted and rushed, which felt off for Appleās usual standards. Another letdown was the lack of drinking water for customersāa small but noticeable oversight in an otherwise polished setup. Lastly, a couple of reviews mentioned rude or unresponsive staff, and while I didnāt experience this myself, itās worth noting that consistency in service could be improved.
Overall Experience
Overall, Apple Store Saket is a fantastic spot for tech lovers and Apple fans. The stunning design, wide product range, and mostly stellar staff make it a great place to shop or get support. Despite minor issues like wait times and the water situation, the experience was overwhelmingly positive. Iād recommend booking appointments in advance and visiting during quieter hours to make the most of it. Itās a store that lives up to Appleās reputation, and Iāll definitely be back!
Rating: 4.5/5 Will I recommend?...
