It's a terrible experience that we had in this hotel. We booked a room only for a day with approximately 90% payment in advance in May 2nd week,2024 over phone and we were assured to get the same room they had shown us over whatsapp . It was also mentioned on the receipt they provide us that they will provide the room at 1st floor. But, when we reached ,they compelled us to take another room at 4th floor. As there was not any other room available. I told them repetitively that my husband had an major operation in his right leg,but they were not ready to listen to anyone. At last, they got ready to refund the money but after a day long journey and exhaustion we were not able to go to find another hotel ( we had our little kid with us too) then and thus we were compelled to adjust for the day. More over the boy in the reception was very rude and he threatened us by asking why I've mentioned the room tariff in front of another guest . The room was also unhygienic and the lock was broken. They also accused us of breaking the door lock when the key got stucked in the door lock and didn't help us anyhow. My husband at last opened the door somehow. Read moreI was booked 3 deluxe rooms in Babumashai Hotel for 21/03/2019 & 25/03/2019 and i have paid advance amount 3 months back and i was also inform to Barun Mondal (Hotel owner) that i have 3 aged persons with knee problems (my Mother’s also have heart problem) so please provide me rooms on ground floor or 1st floor and he was assured me ok no problem i will arrange. But it is very unfortunate that when we was entered in Babumashai Hotel, Gangtok, M.G.Marg as on 21/03/2019 at approx 4 p.m the hoteliers provide me 3 dirty rooms in 3rd floor (height approx 5th floor due to hill area) and steps was very narrow or congested. I was requested several times to change the rooms but they are ignoring us. Rooms condition is horrible i)Usable Bed sheet , Bad smelling from all 3 rooms, No outside air is coming in the rooms, No bathroom lock, Inside door lock is not working. Read moreWe arrived as a family of 6 , at first we were promised rooms at first floor , but they gave us rooms at 3rd floor, we told them two of our members had leg problems, one had a major both knees operated and the other got off plaster not a longtime ago, in response they said , u have come to visit Hilly region with that leg, now climbing up the mountain isn't even a question because that's a one time thing, but going up the stairs at the hotel would be a everytime chore as we were a tourist after a lot of persuasion, they gave us two SHABBY ROOM , Where the bathroom floor was broken, the mirror wardrobe was broken.
