Gala Vista — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

Disaster/Pathetic - Do not even think of staying in this Lodge

Booking experience through cleartrip is good. When we went to the hotel which is inside some gully of electronics market close to New Salem Bus Stand.

When we went to the Hotel, one person told us to sit on the sofa which is in the ground floor pathway. Later he asked how much you paid? I told him that since the sale is going on the travel portals, i got a good discount and said i paid 800. Again his question for 2 people you paid 800? My answer was YES.

Then he allotted a room next to the reception on the ground floor. We went inside the room. It's one Hall Kitchen concept. They put a curtain to the kitchen area. Dumped all waste of the property. Windows were open and there were thousands of mosquitos. First thing I did was to get Odomos from the nearby shop.

Right opposite our room, there were 5-6 people who are continuously drinking and playing cards.

They were welcoming unmarried guests as well after taking a bit of extra money. I got to know this as I was waiting for my turn to checkin. There was a couple who were negotiating this deal. Absolutely not worth staying for the faint hearted. Better spend another 1000 and take a good decent hotel other than this.

My stay duration was for a night from 27/Sep/2024 to 28/09/2024. There were no toiletries in the bathroom, the chair was not in good shape and some type of adhesive material stuck to it. No place to keep our clothes. No TV, AC was broken all over the place, mirror in the washroom broken, the boiler plug was removed and he said no heater in the entire property.

Another interesting thing which irritates me to the core is that the receptionist always turns off the water supply and you need to keep on bugging that idiot.

Also, whenever you book via online, he will give crappy rooms and those are designed by OYO, he will allocate to his direct guests!!!

Review for OYO Gala Vista Rooms, Salem

I recently had a highly disappointing stay at OYO Gala Vista Rooms in Salem, and I feel compelled to share my experience to warn others.

From the moment I arrived, the service was extremely unfair and unprofessional. The check-in process was a hassle, with staff being unhelpful and inattentive. It was clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority.

The cleanliness of the room was shockingly poor. I encountered a rat roaming around the room, which was both alarming and disgusting. This alone would be enough to deter anyone from staying here. Additionally, the bedsheets were full of stains, making it impossible to feel comfortable or clean. The room also had a pervasive bad smell, which made the entire stay unpleasant.

To add insult to injury, the photos provided online were completely fake. The actual condition of the room was nowhere near the standard depicted in the images. It felt like a deliberate attempt to deceive customers.

I have attached pictures to this review to show the true state of the room, including the stained bedsheets and the general uncleanliness. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had, and I strongly advise others to avoid OYO Gala Vista Rooms in Salem.
