Read moreI stayed here for around 20 days, and they took the entire booking amount in advance with no cancellation option, so I could not even cancel or get a refund.
Location is in peaceful area near Assi ghat, but there are no good restaurants or food options nearby. The property is very beautiful with a nice sitting space in their courtyard. But there are several recurring issues that make the stay less enjoyable.
The AC in dormitory is unreliable, water leakage from the AC units and no AC for some nights. And on one horrible night there were power cuts every 5 minutes. Imagine the fans and AC works for 5 minutes and power off for next 5 minutes, like this for the whole night. After exploring Kashi for full day I was so tired and just wanted to sleep but I had to experience this.
There is no hot water showers at this hostel despite telling the staff multiple times to turn on the geyser in the morning, I had to bath with cold water everyday. The staff is unprofessional, they will gossip and talk about your hostel booking and travel plans with other guests. They don’t pay attention to guest’s needs nor focus on making the stay more comfortable.
You can find many good home stays or rooms at the same price in Varanasi. I feel this hostel is overpriced, chaotic and they do not provide the AC dorm as advertised. Also, It is very far from the main tourist spots like Baba Vishwanath temple, Dashashwamedh ghat, Kashi chat and...
