Hotel Shambhu — Hotel in West Bengal

You should be wary of the following things while booking rooms in this hotel.

*Rooms are not organised, tv is ancient, walls and floors are lackluster.

The geyser is kept on only for a selected period of time in a day, depending on the mood of the authority.

The service is poor, during our stay the electricity of one of the rooms went off. I let them know of the issue and they sent no one even after 45 minutes until I went for second time to complain regarding the same.

*The doors are swollen due to humidity and are often stuck when you try to lock the door.

*During our checkout at 11 a.m. the hotel staffs stormed into our rooms and it seemed like they almost kicked us out of the room in the name of checkout.

*The staffs whined for 'tips' as if that was their birthright.

*And last but not the least, Mr. Bapi Pandey, the owner/supervisor of the hotel act like a very sincere and polite person which he is not, while having his own agendas looming larger than the interests of the guests. He keeps on contradicting his own words in matter of days and you might get confused as to what he's...

This One star hotel has 30-40 years old infrastructure as claimed by the manager and they have not upgraded ever since. They have very old furniture in the room which makes noise when seated upon. The T.V. is tiny and of outdated design.Sofa cushions, Bed sheets, Blankets were stinking. Even glasses for water were smelling bad. They don't even have packaged drinking water bottles so you have to drink the water served by the hotel only. There was just one socket in the room for mobile phone charging. Once in the dinner we found some silver strings in the sabji to which their reaction was unprofessional.||Above all-on checking out, the hotel staff forcefully demanded for tip and of amount that they wished.||I will not recommend this...

First of all location is good because the mall road is very near. But the hotel is worst. When we checked into this hotel. We were 11 people and we booked 3 rooms. we saw every room is very untidy, and cold breeze coming from everywhere. The room seems to be damp, water coming from blankets and floor. when we complaint about the coldness and the damp room, the manager's behaviour towads us was very poor. When we requested politely to change our rooms, the manager came to our room and rudely rejected our complaint and said that we have to adjust anyhow . Overall the hotel is very old , although it would have not looked that old from outside , from inside it is very poor . Service and staff behaviour...
