Muscatel BhumSang - 200 Mts from Mall Road — Hotel in West Bengal

Stayed here for 2 nights. And I'll give the real picture.

Good things first...

1. Room was perfect as per the amount I paid. Eventually, they upgraded me even before I asked for it. Room had all amenities one might need during a stay

2. Behaviour of the entire team is awesome. They served me with a smile... Every single time. And they never said NO for any of my requests.

Now, few serious stuffs to look into....

1. Location, which is 1 Km from Darjeeling Mal, While Keventers & Mahakal Chowk are 500 mts. And you don't get any view from the room

2. They have communication issues, perhaps language barrier. On Day-2 I requested to replenish the complimentary drinking water. But IRD team member arrived with packaged drinking water. But again, their behaviour is damn good. He took that back & catered to my actual request

3. This was troublesome. I was supposed to check out at 0730 Hrs. And my room was with breakfast. I informed the Front Desk about the scenario in the previous evening. The ever friendly lady at the desk confirmed me that although Breakfast won't be available at that time, but she'll send sandwiches for me which I was Ok with. But when I called the desk at 6AM in the morning, the guy was clueless. He paid a courtesy visit to the room & said the message of providing sandwiches wasn't passed to him.... Again communication laps

Overall the hotel is good & recommended. But don't book your room with breakfast if you have early...

staff of this hotel is very polite and helping.. they are always available for your help.. they upgraded our rooms from standard to premium on same price ( approx 1800).. standard rooms are average with small space and old amenities.. but premium rooms are very good ,, spacious,, if u consider price of rooms ,, at the cost of under 2k this hotel is best , i strongly recommends this hotel to all persons who are going to visit darjeeling.. its location is very good ..during evening time u can go to mall road by walking in 5-10 min.. i m giving 5 star to staff behavior at this hotel.. food is available but its too costly.. road to reach this hotel is little bit congested..there are other branches of same hotel so u must confirm it before booking ,, and 1 most imp thing book this hotel from its official site only because i compared its prices from all sites but it is cheapest on its own site.. it is safer side to book for 1 day and then extend further as per yo convenience.. if u have time u can explore all near by options as there is approximately 20 -30 hotels on same road on walking distance.. we explored some of them and finally this hotel is best in under 20k price.... no good outside breakfast options available nearby at morning.. bed warmer , pres for ironing of clothes, room warmer, drinking water , electric tea maker , geyser available, clean room and comfortable...

I stayed here on 18-21Jan 2023. As i was travelling alone, i looked to stay somewhere close to the central area 'mall road', for easy access and options for shopping and eateries etc. My stay here was great mainly due to the service of the staff here. I can't name one because all of the staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. The rooms had all the needed amenities, .ie smart tv, heating bed, kettle, cleanliness etc. They gave me a free room upgrade, which had the heating bed n all.(But i guess that's cause now was a down season, and they HAD vacant rooms to do so.) No great view from the rooms, as it is located in a dense road near the main market area (neither did i expect). Their food menu also was only basic items only, but prepared well. But their service was top notch. For touring around, the car they arranged for, even the car driver was very helpful and friendly. They suggested me places to visit, and mapped and itinerary list for me as i did not have any plan of my own. I'm not much of a solo traveler, but this trip went well due to the good stay and service. Would definitely...
