This was my worst experience in any hotel ever. Inconvenient Location: The hotel is most inconvenient to reach. One has to walk uphill with luggage from the point near Loreto Convent on Kutchery Road. It is also accessible from Chauk Bazaar but that again through a narrow lane and multiple staircases. Worst Service: I went up to the reception at the 2nd floor and showed them my booking details but nobody was bothered even to talk properly. I came downstairs and carried all my luggage myself and waited for sometime expecting someone to guide me to my room. Finally I was told that the room booked by me had already been allotted to someone else and they took me to a nearby room.
Pathetic Room : The room, bed linen and washroom were too dirty. On being asked to atleast change the linen, one staff bluntly replied that those were all fresh. However, another staff changed the bedsheet and pillow covers. The only good point about this room was the beautiful view of the distant hills from the common balcony on the front.
Amenities : There was no TV in the room. While the temperature outside ranged between 7°C to 15°C, the geyser didn't work most of the time. To top it all, the staff literally forced me to pay them a tip at the time of my departure while one particular staff member came to my room multiple times offering to sell Darjeeling Tea.
I booked room 108 by seeing the misleading pics on this google page and ended up staying at room 106. Anyone visiting this hotel please avoid room no. 106. I can't comment about the others but this room is absolutely not worth ₹1,400/- that I...
Read moreThis place can be best described in a single simple word and that word is "HORRIBLE". Actually this place is a part of network of cheats. Unfortunately I have fallen to one. I talked to some Vikas Gupta in Hotel Pine Touch Retreat to book a room for me and a seperate room for the driver. He asked to pay advance of Rs. 3000/- for a day. Which was promptly paid in prescribed SBI bank Account labelled as "Extended Holidays". After booking they told that they are already Sold out and transferred the booking to this godforsaken place called Janani Villa. They claimed to provide good parking place, clean rooms with great view and great other things. When I arrived, I found it in a dark and narrow alleyway with smelly rooms, dirty bathroom with no water. When I asked about availability of water in bathroom, they told me that they will provide it in buckets. Observing the level of gentleness dripping from the faces of staff, I felt that it prudent to immediately seek for some decent and safe hotel which I managed to do in less than one hour. By the way, the only loose item taken out from luggage out of necessity, mobile charger was missing from charging socket of the locked room, within that specific hour.
Note: Showing this hole as two star rated hotel on Google map is an explicit abuse of star grading of hotels by...
