The Grand Continent Premier in Chennai is the kind of hotel you instantly bookmark for future visits. While the prime T Nagar location is a huge selling point, putting you right where you need to be for shopping and local business, it’s the staff’s hustle and dedication that truly locks in a five-star rating for me. The Deluxe Twin room we had was notably spacious and impeccably clean.
The whole team deserves credit, but two members stood out for turning standard service into exceptional hospitality.
First, Manikandan at the Front Office is a pro at efficiency. He navigated what could have been a frustrating check-in issue, a small glitch with our booking, with total calm and impressive speed. He maintained complete composure and clarity, ensuring our transition into the room was immediate. When you're traveling, this sort of proactive problem-solving at the front desk is priceless.
Second, FnB Manager Nicholas defines dedication. We had an absurdly early morning meeting, meaning we’d miss the standard breakfast buffet window. Nicholas not only accommodated our request for an early meal but went completely above and beyond. He personally came in before his usual shift, rolled up his sleeves, and ensured we had access to the full buffet selections. His hands-on approach guaranteed we were well-fed before rushing out. This level of managerial commitment to the guest experience is truly extraordinary.
The hotel environment is comfortable, and the amenities like the rooftop pool are welcome bonuses, but frankly, it’s the human element here that shines. Nicholas and Manikandan are phenomenal assets, and I hope the management recognizes their role in delivering an experience that consistently goes above the...

I had a very disappointing experience during my recent stay at Grand Continent Premier, especially considering I was traveling with a baby.
I specifically ordered Bisi Bele Bath for my baby without any chilies or spices, but it was served with a lot of chili, making it inedible for a child. I called and asked for a replacement, and they sent Dal Khichdi – but even that was too spicy for a baby. It showed a clear lack of attention to dietary requests, especially for infants.
The service overall was quite poor. I ordered food at night and requested some onions with it. I was told they would bring it in 2 minutes, but no one ever came. Despite waiting and following up, the request was simply ignored.
At the time of check-out, I asked for a hard copy of the bill for reimbursement purposes. They said it would be sent to my email the next day – but I never received it. I had to call and follow up with the hotel manager to...
Read moreThis property was once maintained good but not anymore. This looks like an apartment not a hotel. The is minor damages here and there inside the room and the furnitures are really old. It needs a change to give a pleasant experience to the customer, especially for the one who is traveling from abroad
The staffs are not responsible even after calling three or four times there is no one turned. This is really annoying when we call and there is no response for something really important all that we can hear is a simple Sorry. even on the day when I was about to check out, there was a another customer shouted at the staff for the same reason
While booking through Expedia, it was mentioned that breakfast is free, but when we inquired in the hotel they said, it is not free . so it’s like a false promise given to the customer for making the...
