This was the first time in my life I had been approached by a Starbucks barista telling me that I need to make a purchase in order to stay in the cafe. While working on my laptop, I've been approached (twice! after politely refusing the first time) by a barista passively aggressive hinting that I NEED to make an order to stay here.
Not only had I confronted him saying that the way he treats customers is outright disrespectful, I also had to explain him (taking in account huge language barrier) that Starbucks as a global company has a Third Place Policy, openly stating that anyone can use their spaces and be considered a customer without making a purchase (this dates back to 2018 case when two people sued the company and won the case after being escorted by police for refusing to make a purchase, the Starbucks employee and store's manager were fired after that).
Incredible combination of disrespect towards customers, arrogance and an absolute lack of a basic employee training: this place's management should be ashamed of this service.
To anyone visiting this place, be prepared: if a barista (and a self-proclaimed policeman) decides you've been sitting too long and haven't purchased enough - you...

They are filthy, quite often they don't have any running water, so you can see what other customers left in there and that's disgusting (I figured people simply couldn't flush). And that's like a normal thing there already, it happened not once and not twice. They just shut the door and say something like: the toilets will be repaired in a couple of hours. Then you go there again, the same thing happens. And in general the place doesn't look clean .. the tables and so on. As far as I understand Starbucks doesn't hire cleaning staff and baristas have to clean themselves. That is just sad. The staff is always nice and helpful. The place is kind of vibey because it has a huge tree covering the area. So you will get your overpriced coffee and if you don't mind the filthiness,...
Read moreWe visited this branch in mid-August when Starbucks were offering 50% off drinks. However, the server didn't tell us about this and instead said that if we upgraded to the medium size for our drinks we would get a free crossaint or a spicy tuna bread. The drinks were 160k rp altogether so seemed like a good deal including the food. Therefore as there was 2 of us, we decided to upgrade to a larger drink for the 'free' sides. It was only after we paid when I checked the receipt that I realised the server had tricked us into actually buying the sides becuase the real offer was 50% off drinks. Had the server been honest we would have saved over half the money on our bill as we would have kept our original order of 2x small drinks. We feel that the staff at this branch are dishonest and will lie to...
