It was my first ever staying in this hotel. The bedroom size (deluxe) is big and spacious.
The price, whichs cost Rp. 253K per nite (less than US$17.00 including breakfast) speaks for itself. I mean, come on, you need to be realistic of what you may expect with such a low price accomodation in medium size city like Yogyakarta. Please do not expect too much on facilities available to you.
However, you may compare with the similar bedroom size in Hong Kong which will cost you more than a US$ 100, not including breakfast.
The mattress was good, but I spotted some stain on its bed-cover. But it was acceptable for such a low price of an accomodation in such a strategic location.
Amenities (soap, tootpaste, toothbrush, towels), were sufficient.
The bedroom is equipped with furnitures, including sofas, and cupboard (with slightly broken sliding door), A/C, TV, hot & cold water work properly, and 3 electrical power outlets. They were enough too. Safe deposit box available in front.desk. Please check with them.
The floor and bed were swept and moped, everyday, but you need to ask the front office desk first, otherwise your bedroom will not have the make-up.
My bedroom does not have windows that you can not see outside the bedroom wall.
What awesome, is there is Japanese restaurant inside the hotel, with. reasonable price. It tastes good. Worth to try. Your hotel's breakfast, typically sandwich with fried egg, plus french fries, is normally taken from this restaurant. You may take your breakfast out in a nice lunch box.
The checked-in process was very quick, less than 3 minutes, and you need to pay a deposit of Rp.100,000 (USD 6.7), which will be returned to you upon check-out.
If you need to extend your stay till evening (approx 18.00PM), you need to pay a half of the price Rp.125,000 (US$8.2).
Except the Hikaru Japanaese Restaurant which literally inside the hotel, there are many food streets around the hotel, just within walking distance (1-5 minutes walk). They sell Indonesian typical fried rice, Soto Lamongan (clear chicken soup in turmeric, within 3 minutes walk) Sate Ayam (chicken satay), Sate Kambing (lamb satay) Sate Sapi (beef satay) within 3 minutes walk, Selera Sambal (SS Restaurant) within 3 minutes walk, Indomart Convenience Store (within 3 minutes walk), etc.
During my stay, I did not notice any regular public transport passing this hotel (I mean public bus, city transport with pre-arranged route). But no worry. You can call taxi, or using your smart phone you can call a-through-online-ordered transportation moda - Indonesian people usually call it Tranportasi Online or just call it Online (e.g. GO-JEK with its Go-Ride for motor bike ride or Go-Car for car ride). The other choice is Grab Bike or Grab Car which is also available in Yogyakarta city. They are just like Uber Taxi or DiDi Taxi in China. You do not need to worry about the price and is usually safe to ride. It is normally only cost you around Rp. 16,000 (US$ 1.1) from this hotel to Malioboro Street, the iconic and a must visit place if you are in Yogyakarta.
The front desk is very friendly and helpful. Only 1-2 front desk officer at a time. I noticed there is a WiFi signal in my room, but I could not connect to it using the username and password given by the hotel.
The check out process was also quick, as quick as the check-in process was. I did not have any issue during my stay. I've got what I've paid.
Well... I hope my review is useful...
Read moreThe receptionist is rude, harsh, and arrogant. When trying to check in early, I was told to pay double the original price. They said the room was full, even though it was clearly empty. They acted dismissive, saying, 'Don't you want to go on a trip?' even though it was 2 AM, and my mother and I, who had booked the room for 7 nights, were not even prioritized. Yes, I understand not to be naive and expect too much from a cheap hotel (I don't consider it cheap), but at least the receptionist should learn proper manners if they want the hotel to succeed. And that hotel seems to be filled with questionable people; we were forced to sleep in a mosque 400 meters away. Overall, not recommended—there are better hotels than that. For those who want a review of the area like I do, I definitely don’t recommend it. I’m really discouraged by the rude and selfish people I had to deal with...
Read moreWe stayed in this hotel for 3 days/2 nights The hotel receptionist is not helpful and amiable. We tried to have an eahrly check-in but they said we can not, it is fine with us.We went around town, went back around 2pm expecting that our room is ready. We entered into a not so clean room; the floor is dusty, the toilet floor is slippery ,the water in the shower area is not draining, it stucks near the shower glass door and the extra bed we asked is not ready. When we asked for a change of room, they said we have to pay some more!! We complained to the receptionist for how many times. Though, the next day, they made us transfer to another room. We were so stressed. The wifi signal inside the room is very very poor. You can not browse...
