I initially planned to do just one fun dive with this diving school—but I ended up diving for 9 days straight! That should already tell you how amazing this experience was.

From the very beginning, I felt completely taken care of. The instructors are incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and patient and funny. A huge thank you to Miguel for your endless patience, for constantly reminding me to exhale and breathe calmly, and for guiding me through every moment with such care. Your encouragement, calm energy, and infectious passion made all the difference. Most of all, thank you for making me fall in love with diving—it’s something I’ll carry with me forever. I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor. You truly made this experience unforgettable!

Amaia is like a mermaid underwater—calm, graceful, and always radiating peaceful energy. Diving with her feels like watching someone do yoga underwater. She helped me relax completely, and on top of that, she always made me laugh.

Marc is a true diving encyclopedia. You can ask him any question, and he’ll happily share his deep technical knowledge. Underwater, he moves with such calm and control—it’s a joy to follow his lead. He gave me the confidence to dive in stronger currents and helped me feel capable of handling more challenging conditions. Thank you for that, Marc!

There are more amazing instructors—Aida, Arti, and Damas—each of them brought something special to the experience. You're all passionate, supportive, and simply great to dive with!

And I can’t forget about the fantastic dive masters: Mar, Ferran, Fernando, and Nico. You guys are simply the best! ❤️ You made me laugh every day and were always there when either I or other divers needed a hand.

The whole Neren Familly took me under their wings and made me feel right at home. I absolutely loved diving with you guys and exploring the underwater world together. You generously shared your knowledge and were incredible at spotting marine life I would have totally missed on my own!

Of course, a massive shoutout to the whole Indonesian crew—you are the heart of it all! You were always there, taking care of everything: from cooking delicious meals, to filling the tanks, to helping us back on the boat. Thank you for your hard work, warm smiles, and making everything run so smoothly.

I DO NOT recommend Neren diving for the DSD ( discover scuba diving ) program after my very dissatisfied experience with it. Upon arriving at Labuan, we checked in with 3-4 dive schools ( Blue Marlin, Dragon Dive among them) both of which structured the DSD as one afternoon session with a dive instructor in a pool to learn the basics followed by 2 dives in the sea under the supervision of a dive instructor. Unfortunately, not aware of the finer details of this being completely inexperienced , we made a decision to pick Neren who said the pool session is not required and said they instructed us on the basics on the way to the dive site . We tried to optimize for time and picked this session - which was a TERRIBLE MISTAKE. The person who taught us the basics on the way to the site was an indonesian who did not appear to be a dive instructor but just a dive master. He did not seem to have any experience with teaching new beginners ( especially those who were apprehensive ) . His instructions were unclear ( so was his english) and all he cared about was trying to get us under water (5 m) and complete a dive in one hour with absolutely no apparent empathy or competence to deal with beginners . He was unfortunately the very opposite of a calm , patient instructor and was anxious, stressed out , and obviously inexperienced as a teacher for beginners. This made my experience completely panicked, and i aborted my attempt at diving soon after. My brother who was also with me managed to continue and competed it . After this traumatic incident, It was extremely shocking and a real pity that the Dive instructor ( Nacho ) who went with the other divers in the group , ( fyi- we went to this school as a recommendation to Nacho as an instructor and he onboarded us and enrolled us into the program ) Nacho did not even come to make an enquiry about the failed or even debrief or chat with me the rest of the 7 hours of the dive trip on the boat and completely ignored what happened showing total lack of interest or concern. This leads me to believe the DSD is just a money making activity ( they charged me the full fee ) and ill equipped to try to teach beginners the right way . I would recommend going to blue marlin or dragon dive who have dive instructors who teach you and an additional pool session for the same price and to STAY AWAY...

Completing the Advanced Adventurer course with Neren Diving was the highlight of my underwater journey. The course was incredibly well-structured and packed with thrilling dives that expanded my skills and confidence.❤️
