We discovered Alma on our second night in Labuan Bajo and it was exceptional.

Exceptional service, greeted at the door with a smile, the waiting staff called us by our first names and were very respectful and attentive. They also run a free shuttle service to and from your hotel.

The atmosphere is laid back and offers a welcome cosy vibe to retreat to, away from the busy local roads. The layout of the restaurant also allows for a cooling breeze to pass through the dining area, which was very welcome after the heat of the day.

Situated on a hill above labuan bajo, we sat and ate our delicious meals with expansive panoramic views of the komodo national park area, and enjoyed sunset.

We dined here a total of 3 nights and we tried, the gorgonzola gnocchi, the pork rolls, the steaky steak, the tenderloin steak, the red snapper and several of the amazing deserts.

We are big foodies, and love to experience new foods and flavours, and whilst all of the dishes we ate were familiar to us, they were all prepared with such amazing flavours and styles that we fealt we were eating the dishes for the first time.

In our opinion ALMA deserves to be on the Michelin Guide, for the quality, balance, and variety of its dishes, complimented by the laid back restaurant experience, panoramic views of Labuan Bajo and serene vistas of komodo national park. It has everything.

We didn't explore the generous wine list but we did enjoy a number of refreshing cocktails.
