This is the first time I've ever had to write a review. First of all, first impressions is everything as far as Im concerned. Me and my 9 friends choose to eat at this place cause the the reviews sounded great. As soon as we walked into the place, it was under construction the Top floor. Once we sat down on the 2nd floor they had no intention to stop working. Dust was everywhere and Constant noise. The waiters didn't speak much English as they was taking are orders she was going backwards and forwards to see what was on the menu. Clearly when you go into a restaurant, you should be told what's on the menu and what's not on the Menu at the start. 40 minutes into it they kept going back out and saying We are sorry we don't have have on the menu. Then some guy come over and took the whole order again!! Then it was another 20 minutes. 1 hour passed, and I explained to him how long is are food going to be Sir? He say said 20-25 minutes and when I explained if it's not here by then we will not be paying for anything. 5 minutes later The food start arriving. All I can say I wouldn't Serve that food to anyone, by that time I asked to speak to the owner he wouldn't speak to us btw, he was at home but left his phone on the table 🙄🤨 then as a good gesture from me I will willing to pay for Our friend's Drinks not the food. The owner then got back in touch and said we will give you 10% off everything lol. I closed the conversation payed for the drinks and walked away. Please guys use really need to sort...
Read moreI like the concept of the restaurant which is eco friendly. They use solar panel for electricity, stainless straw as replacement for plastic straw, and no fan nor air conditioner (which can be a no, if you can't stand tropical beach temperature). Some of their recommended menus are mostly seafood. I tried salted egg crab (great! The crab is super fresh, but compared to other salted egg crab I've tried, can barely taste the salted egg), black pepper crab (the sauce is great but somehow the crab wasn't as fresh as the salted egg one, let's hope it was just a bad coincidence), butter fried prawn (also a nice one, nicely cooked), and chilli sauce clam (good! But I'd like it better if it's spicier, probably because of my asian tongue). I wouldn't recommend the drink as much. The mango juice tasted too bitter than I'd expect (I'm not sure, is it how the local mangoes taste here?), and the lemon tea was too sour. The view of the place is good, you can see the harbour quite clear from...
Read moreLook this place is very expensive for Indonesia and the service was pretty awful! So many servers and no idea what's going on.
A couple next to us were given one of our main meals, by mistake. We were waiting on our other main meal for a VERY long time as a result. The staff didn't realise that they had given half our order to the wrong table, and neither did we straight away. After 40 minutes (!!!), the staff realised they had made a mistake and took it off their table and put it straight onto ours, with no apology. We said that isn't fair and that the other couple should eat the now very cold tuna steak... so they did. I realise that I can't compare Indonesia to London restaurant service BUT nowhere in the world is it ok to take a plate of food off someone else's table and give it to...
