Markisa Villas - Private Pool Villas in Gili Air — Hotel in Gili Air

The most beautiful villa I've ever got to stay in... I have been travelling Asia for 8 months and always like to treat myself once in a while by staying somewhere really nice. Villa Markisa is newly built, beautifully furnished, has all the amenities you could imagine. The windows allow lots of natural light, there are plants all over inside and out making it feel like you're in a little oasis. And the pool is the best part. I loved chilling by the pool in the evening with the garden lights on and enjoying a drink. The WiFi is fast enough to be able to work online - it's slower in some areas of the villa and super fast in others, but I was still able to do my zoom meetings and all of that no problems. There's a stove and everything I needed to cook my own meals and the hosts were so wonderful, they answered all my questions, provided reccomendations for my stay (food, drinks, activities) and even helped us arrange bike rentals - they dropped them off for us so we didn't even have to leave!! We absolutely loved our stay here and the hosts.

There is construction going on beside the villa but you can't hear it inside and it starts and stops at a reasonable time. It didn't bother us at all.

The location was fantastic, being close to many different restraunts and close enough to the beach.

Oh and I almost forgot to mention that the hosts provide you with free drinks in the fridge, cold water, and a full water jug for drinking.. For me these small gestures mean so much and it was wonderful to settle in and have a cold drink.

We wish we could have stayed forever. Thank you for the beautiful stay. We truly felt like we were home away from home in a gorgeous place...

I've been staying in the villa for 4 days but I've been quite disappointed for the high price of the rental. I booked it for his swimming pool but we were not able to swim in as it wasn't maintained and full of green algae and couldn't even see the bottom... The only good point was the swimming pool but we couldn't use it. The bed sheets were stained also wich is not acceptable for that price range. Villa is surrounded by big walls wich stop the breeze to come in. I want to let know the next potential guests to be aware of this issue before planning on booking it... It will be disappointing for you, plenty of better option...

This was my second time with Markisa Villas, and I'll never stay anywhere else on the island when I come here!

The villas themselves are beautifully designed, well equipped, clean and comfortable. Special shout out to the staff for always being so attentive and efficient, we could tell they really cared about our stay/experience.

The beds are so comfortable, the location is quiet while still being near all the amenities. Pool and garden areas are amazing for when you just want to enjoy some quiet time in the villa.

Overall, would recommend these villas to anyone thinking of visiting the island - cant wait...
