The hotel is an easy, short walk from the arrivals hall at Bali airport. I was approached at check in by Ifan Taufan, who greeted me warmly and checked me in, thanking me for my loyalty (I know, as they all do now) and noting my room request (high floor, runway view). He offered me a choice of ‘second best’ available immediately or his recommended ‘first choice’ if I was happy to wait a short while. I opted for ‘first choice’ and he then invited me to enjoy the club lounge and all its facilities while I waited for my room. He introduced me to his colleagues in the lounge and he and they all made me feel very welcome. I was delighted with my room. It was comfortable, clean, everything worked well (wifi, sockets, shower etc) and the view (of the runway) was exactly what I hoped for. Breakfast each day was delicious. A huge range of food & drink to satisfy every taste. Dinner was also good, whether buffet (some evenings) or à la carte. Pool and gym facilities were also good and all public areas were clean and well presented. Before I left, a huge Christmas display was set up in the reception area, with Santa Claus (well, 3 of them, in fact!), plus a sleigh and reindeers. The kids loved it! The only small criticism I might have is that the Christmas music became somewhat tedious after while. On the day of leaving, I was offered late checkout if I needed it, but left mid-morning. Ifan handled my check out, hoping I’d had a pleasant stay and wishing me well. Everything about my stay was perfect.
