My friends and I had 50 minutes before our flight, so we decided to have breakfast at The Coffee Club at the airport. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing and stressful.
Firstly, my friend ordered a promo set, but after confirming the order, the server returned three separate times to inform us that certain items in the set were unavailable. This was frustrating and unnecessarily complicated, to the point that my friend almost cancelled her order entirely.
Secondly, our drinks took 20 minutes to arrive — and some were as simple as tea. By the 30-minute mark, only one dish (a bread item from the counter) had been served out of our group of nine. When we asked the server about our order, she told us it takes 15 minutes just to process an order, which was never communicated to us earlier — not even during the multiple times she came back to discuss the promo set. This lack of transparency is unacceptable, especially at an airport, where time is critical.
After waiting another 15 minutes with no food, we requested to take away our meals as we were running out of time to catch our flight. Instead of handling the request quickly, the staff were even slower and seemed unbothered by our urgency. We were also told that takeaway boxes and bags would cost extra, which we agreed to pay. However, when we asked for two paper bags because one was insufficient, they only gave us one, despite our clear request (in Melayu), and rolled their eyes at us when we asked again.
The food itself was tasty but served in very small portions, and the poor service completely overshadowed that. I would not recommend this place to anyone catching a flight — order with extreme caution. Clear communication and basic efficiency are essential for an airport café, and sadly, this experience fell far below...

Read moreI had such a lovely experience thanks to our waitress, Angel, who was not only incredibly friendly and attentive, but also went above and beyond by sharing amazing recommendations for things to do the next time I visit Bali.
