This place will forever be held close in my heart. I am not sure I can find all the words to describe how amazing my stay was here. I arrived early in the morning and was greeted by Lisa with a big smile, welcome drink and all of the other kind workers on the premise. I learned that the owners have changed for this place, and when it happened none of the reviews were kept, so I was their first person that booked. There were no reviews, but I loved the photos and the great communication with Lisa. I stayed in one of the Huts which has a porch where you can sit under the stars and listen to nature. The place was so clean too. Lisa was always smiling and helping the guests. She wanted the guests to to have the best stay on the island and would do anything to help me book tours, drop me off at sites, give me her advice and just talk with me. I wish everyone could experience staying at Rama Garden, it was one of the favourite parts of met trip because of the kind, living and beautiful people that own it and work there. The owner even did a little one hour tour around the island to the popular sites, and over to Ceningan, just so I could see this stunning place. Book here, have a magical stay, and make a...
Read moreRama Garden was a wonderful place to stay- we stayed for 4 months! The highlights were: the manager Lisa is absolutely wonderful- she is so friendly and welcoming, she always notices when something needs improvement, keeps the rooms and grounds clean, and is very accommodating and helpful. She can give you good advice about services on the island (her English is excellent by the way).
We loved our bungalow - it was spacious, clean, lots of natural light, a very comfortable king-sized bed, and a bathroom that was partially open to the outdoors (which I like for good ventilation). Also our room had everything we needed - sizable shelving unit, spacious closet for hanging clothes and storing bags, a desk and bed-side tables. Also it had a nice gardenview.
The other thing that's great about Rama Garden is that it is only a few minute walk to a diversity of shops, restaurants, and the beach in Jungutbatu. And it is quiet at night, the AC works perfectly, and there is a ceiling fan if you don't want to use the AC.
We also had access to the kitchen, which was handy. The kitchen is a bit narrow and dark, but one can't complain, considering most places don't even have a kitchen for...
Read moreWe stayed at Rama Garden for 2 nights and upon arrival were pleasantly welcomed by our wonderful and bubbly host Lisa. The place is located right in the middle between the beach and the main road of Jungut Batu which means it is pretty quiet. Ther
Rama Garden is a small place with only 9 rooms. It has bungalows, lumbungs and what they call mezzanines where the bed is located separately on a small mezzanine level. We stayed in a lumbung which was not big but very comfortable with a newly renovated bathroom downstairs which had a 4 star feel to it with modern tiling.
No food is served but there is a basic kitchen where you can prepare your meals. We ate all our meals outside though as nothing beats eating on the beach while overlooking the calm ocean.
We loved Rama Garden for the location, value and staff friendliness. Oh, and the Wifi was working and stable which is worth a separate mention as this if often not the case on small islands. We are going back there for sure next year.
Thank you Lisa for ensuring that we had a...
