Sanghyang Bay Villas — Hotel in Nusa Penida Subdistrict

Stayed at this beautiful place for 3 nights and honestly this place is awesome in every way. First, the place is just so well kept, clean, with beautiful gardens, swings, hammocks and a nice big pool. There are only 9-10 villas and because we went during the low season there was just one other family apart from us, and we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves.The room, balcony and the outdoor bathroom were beautiful, and staff do a turn-down service every day, which really helped us sleep well with little trouble from mosquitoes. There was enough storage space in the room, and we honestly couldnt fault anything. We also got breakfast with the room, and the restaurant is just a minute walk from the room, overlooking mushroom bay. It was serene, relaxing and the food was lovely too!

Second, the staff - they really deserve a mention as they were so friendly, helpful and really made us feel at home! Whatever we needed - they were ready to offer / help, and truly went above and beyond with their service.

And finally - the manager - Gede. No where during our entire stay in Indonesia we came across someone who offered such personable attention and service. From helping us sort out the best boat shuttle to get to lembongan from bali, and then helping us on our next trip to Gili, and sorting our some accomodation issues, Gede always made the best recommendations.

We’re a full-time travel family and we’ve hopped around to a lot of different places in Bali. And let me just say that I have never experienced such warmth and hospitality than what we felt at Sanghyang Bay Villas. We just checked out today and we already miss it. The staff are absolutely fantastic. Some of the kindest people we have ever met. Nothing is a hassle and they go above and beyond to make your stay amazing. The rooms were spotless. We stayed in a deluxe room and they made up 2 extra beds for our kiddos. The grounds are small and intimate, perfect for families. The pool is awesome. The restaurant on the beach is great. And Budi and his team are happy to arrange any excursions for you, all at exceptionally reasonable prices. We went snorkelling with the mantas.. again the snorkel crew were amazing with our kids (4 and 6), they arranged a scooter tour around the islands for us which was one of our family highlights. I do not recommend it. I had a very unpleasant experience at this place. I was staying at another hotel, but had to leave in a hurry because the power went out and I had a problem before with the internet connection, so I went to Sanghyang Village. I asked the price for two nights, and they told me the equivalent of AUD 150, I told them about the internet problem and they said the had internet and energy. When I went to make the payment, they asked me to pay after I moved my bags. When I arrived with my bags and went to pay, they said the price was AUD 150 per day, which was double the original amount. Since I had already moved all my luggage, I ended up staying at the village. However, they had energy but no Internet connection, I later checked the price online and saw that it was AUD 96 per night, meaning they took advantage of the situation to charge me more. Be careful, these people don’t deserve your money. They are of bad character. There are many other villages on the island with better prices and good people.
